If I understand correctly, this trial is for the murder of Mrs. McLelland. Is that correct? Of all the victims it seems to me like she would be the least controversial. She totally & completely did nothing to harm Eric Williams in any way whatsoever. I think this, hopefully, is an easy win for the prosecution. I cannot imagine what the defense could possibly be.

Yes he is charged with 3 counts of capital murder: Mark Hasse is a third victim but prosecutors chose to try him for Cynthia McLelland's murder.

I remember it generated lots of interest when it broke: initially it was thought Aryan Brotherhood was behind the killings.
Ex-justice was arrested few weeks later.

The first witness for the State, who happened to be a policeman, said that he could tell that both victims were deceased. That was the reason he didn't call 911. huh? He said no reason for EMSA.

Question So what number did he dial to get LE out to the scene?

I believe I read on the Dallas Morning News website that he called the sheriff's office. I think this policeman is also married to Mrs. McLelland's daughter.

Saw on twitter that ME testimony ended and no questions from the defense. I'm very puzzled by the defense strategy. No opening statement, no questions for ME. But a not-guilty plea. Very odd.

Yep, I'm a local too. I live 3 miles from the McClellands and my mother was friends with Cynthia. I noticed he had to cover his mouth with a fist to keep from smirking too much when they were describing the crime scene. I can't wait to see him move to Huntsville.

Rodger Williams (no relation to Eric) served with EW in Texas State Guard. Rented storage unit in his name as a favor to EW. Was told it was for EW's in-laws who were moving

I thought I may be transferring my anger about the poor sound to the defendant and what I thought I saw as smirking. I thought he looked like he enjoyed seeing the photos of the carnage. Like he was proud of himself.
