Yep, I'm a local too. I live 3 miles from the McClellands and my mother was friends with Cynthia. I noticed he had to cover his mouth with a fist to keep from smirking too much when they were describing the crime scene. I can't wait to see him move to Huntsville.

IMO, he's enjoying his big last hurrah. Why else wouldn't he plea, or maybe they didn't even offer one? His mugshot still haunts me and I can just see him riding his segway around the neighborhood. He thought he was top dog and above the law. I mean, who the heck would email crimestoppers confessing to the crime and NOT think they would trace the IP address or something??? They (he) planned on killing more, I would bet on it.

Seeing all that they found in the house and the storage unit makes me wonder why the defense is even bothering. There is no way this man is not going to get death. It didn't look like they were going to plan on running, it looked to me they were going to commit more murders. Those boxes of booties alone made me cringe more than all of the weapons. Nope, he pretty much continued with the smirk. He's super proud of what he did. Zero remorse.

To answer another person's question, I saw on the news a few weeks ago that the current DA (who was appointed after the McClellands were murdered) Erleigh Norville Wiley was also on his list. I think he was going to go down his list killing 1 after another. Psycho.

Just heard on 6pm WFAA news that the speculation is that the trial is moving so rapidly that it may go to the jury as early as Thursday. I'm betting that the jury won't have to deliberate very long.

I'm really beginning to wonder if Williams isn't thinking he's getting his revenge by getting the state to spend mega $$$$$$$$$$ on his upkeep & trial. Appeals can take years. However, the state penitentiary isn't going to be quite so cushy as the county jail. He may have made a gross miscalculation.

Likely no, would be still interesting to hear her testimony. Prosecution case seems strong enough without her.
Real challenge in this case was to catch the right guy. EW not a likely suspect. He almost got away with Hass murder.

A good summary of evidence presented on Tuesday. Of particular interest to me was Williams correspondence with the tip line. Either the guy is an egotist of the highest order or he actually wanted to get caught.

They say he 'pretended to be somebody else' when he called Crimestoppers.
