What the heck is going on this summer? This is the 3rd girl we have lost in a very short period of time.

Naomi Jones, 12, went missing May 31st 2017 and was found deceased on June 5th 2017.

Kaytlynn Cargill, 14, went missing June 19th 2017 and was found deceased on June 21st 2017.

There is something very, very wrong in this world. :(

It's every summer. It truly is. Sometimes July is the worst.

Does that mean no obvious trauma?

The video is still there, you may have to sign in to view it. I viewed the rest of the video after I initially posted and yes, it does show her poor little body.

Oh my god. I just started following this and just popped in for an update. I never expected this. So sad. IMO, it was someone she planned on meeting since she asked people to hold her dog and that she'd be right back. Agree?

She is listed on the Tarrant County medical examiner website as being found in the landfill under June 21
https://mepublic.tarrantcounty.com/

I really wished this had turned out differently and she was found safe.

From the link:

"Place Of Death: Landfill"

Seeing this made me so sick and so angry. Not criticizing the ME at all; I know they had no choice but to use that word. It just seems so wrong.

Very much hoping for a timely arrest. Praying for Kaytlynn and her family.

My guess is they may keep COD quiet pending investigation.

So are we thinking someone threw her body in a dumpster or what? God, it hurts to even type that out. She looks so sweet. It's really hard to believe anyone would hurt her on purpose.

((((hugs)))) all around. We loved you within the first 5 posts, beautiful girl.

Well dang you! I was holding it together find until your post! Poor sweet girl should be enjoying her summer and looking forward to the amazing wonders in ways that we are only afforded in our youth. It just is not fair.

I personally do. IMO either those kids with conflicting stories are responsible or they knew she was meeting someone and that's why their stories weren't adding up. I can't imagine someone actually carrying her to the landfill it's not easily accessible in the actual part she was found. Moo!

Remember when we could be outside all day, riding bikes, visiting kids in the neighborhood, play kick the can after dark? At least that's how I grew up in the 80's and 90's. My kids are on summer break now and they don't leave my yard. They aren't allowed at the neighbors houses. They don't go anywhere with "family friends". They aren't allowed near the road and if ANYONE comes near them, they run to get me.

Sickos have deprived children of freedom and innocence.

This is just so sad. Dang it! I'm hoping there are cameras, but assuming the monster(s) lived there/was familiar with the place, they'd know how to avoid any. I'm still unclear with the story of the friend(s). A lot of times police will consider a child a runaway based off what they've been told by the family. I really didn't want it to end like this. I can tell how sweet she is just from the pictures. This just breaks my heart. I hope an arrest is made very soon!

To be fair, those sickos have always been out there. We were not always as aware because we did not have social media, the news cycle was much slower, and the Internet was not a big part of our lives. You were not likely to ever hear of the majority of crimes against children as you are now. Unfortunately, the Internet has also created new challenges in keeping our kids safe. Although I'll guess that cell phones also play a large part in keeping kids safer by providing an easy way for them to be tracked or stay in contact with parents.

Unfortunately, once you know "what's out there" you can't un-know it. It definitely changes the way we parent our kids, for better or worse.
