TX- Kelly Masciarelli, 54, Kolin Foster, 23, & Cameryn Richard, 21,found dead after house fire, Cypress,18/8/24,*Arson & murder investigation*

  • #21
Hi. I just joined in hopes of finding out who killed my family members Kelly Masciarelli and Kolin Foster and Kolin's girlfriend Cameryn. Has anyone been able to tell what type of make and model of car the killers were in or the tag number? Or does anyone have any information about these horrific murders? Although the police and FBI have posted a rewarded it seems they won't even follow up on leads that come into their office. This is a shame and destroying the family. People know who this person is and should start coming clean. Any information would be helpful. It's been 10 months since they were brutally murdered. This case should have been solved by now. I don't want to give up hope though and have decided to try and solve this myself, but I need help, and I am hoping someone here has information on this case they will share.

A new surveillance video and a $25,000 reward could be the key to solving a triple homicide in Cypress, where three victims were shot in their sleep before their home was set ablaze.Determined to find those responsible, law enforcement officials have ramped up their investigation into the brutal murders of Kelly Masciarelli, Kolin Foster, and Cameryn Richard, who were killed in their Cypress home on August 18, 2024.At a press conference this morning, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the FBI’s Houston Field Office, announced the increased reward and urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to an arrest.

I'm so sorry for your loss. If you need any tips or pointers managing within Websleuths; feel free to message me.

This description of the vehicle looked hopeful, and they know the general direction of the vehicle. I see.

Investigators believe the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored (blue or black) four-door sedan with a third brake light in the lower portion of the rear window. Detectives said the vehicle has chrome rims, chrome emblem and a chrome grill. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Cypresswood Drive before making a right turn onto Cypress Rosehill towards Highway 290 at around 6:15 a.m. Law enforcement sources told KPRC2 they have a good lead on the vehicle and its location.

It is capital murder, if they catch one suspect. One will turn.

I search often for news on this horrific case and will continue until solved. I will post with any updates unfortunately I have not seen anything recent.

Crimestoppers is a good source for victim and family support.

Prayers and thought to you, family and friends....loved ones.

H4J, I found this case on YouTube. Breaks my heart, and I hope it is solved soon.

A friend of mine and I did a deep dive on the make and model of car some months ago, analyzing screen grabs. It looks like it could be an Altima, but maybe more likely it's a KIA Forte or a Hyundai Elantra. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Take care.

Bigger question, why didn’t anyone hear gunshots?

Do you know for certain they had a security system? Not fully up to speed on case details yet.
Maybe they used a suppressor.

Maybe they used a suppressor.
Firearms with a suppressor are still surprisingly loud. A suppressed 9mm handgun would still be in the 120-135 decibel range. That is about the sound level of a jackhammer.

It's been a year since someone brutally killed Kelly Masciarelli, her loving son Kolin Foster, and his beautiful girlfriend Cameryn Richard. Still, no one has been arrested. But we are getting close. We still need tips though. I beg all those who lived near the house to re-review your home cameras to see if you see the getaway car on the road the months leading up to the murder which was August 18, 2024, and let me or the authorities know if you have any footage. From the evidence obtained so far, it's obvious it's not the first time the murders were in the neighborhood.

For all those that pray, please keep Kelly, Kolin and Cameryn in your prayers and that the killers are brought to justice soon!!!

I am not sure why no one heard gun shots. Personally, after watching Hugh Gray Investigates dissect the video on U-Tube showing the car drive through the neighborhood for at least 30 minutes and the killer walking down the street and going through the community park to get to the back of the house, i don't think the killer was ever near the Camero that Kolin had just bought because there really was not enough time if you watch Hugh Gray's analysis of the car in the neighborhood that night. The police towed the Camero because they said a neighbor saw someone get out of the Camero, but the person that got out was not anyone the neighbor recognized. That sighting never made any sense to me, why would the killer purposely enter through the back of the house to then walk out the front door to go to the car. I think the neighbor heard gun shots and thought it was the car door slamming and someone getting out. The video on Hugh Gray Investigates is more than an hour, but it is excellent, if you really want to see what happened. He examines the footage twice, so there are two shows about the car driving around the neighborhood. The second examination of the video has a lot more information in it. The police should know the make, model, year, and tag of that vehicle. Below is where you can watch video of Hugh Gray's analysis. You can find it on u-tube using the below search. The first several minutes is the press conference the police held offering $25,000.00 reward for anyone who has information on who did this.

Also, does anyone know anything about the guy recently shot in New Braunfels, Texas. From what i have read so far, it seems very similar to this case, but only one person was killed. The guy was shot in his house. Then the house was set on fire. Seems like the fire was set at least an hour before anyone noticed. Also seems no one heard gun shots. I believe it happened within the last week.

Thank you so much. Hunting 4 Justice!!

This is a beyond horrific, three innocent people murdered, and the house set ablaze.

Her parents recognized her house on the news. I can't even imagine, it's too horrible my mind can't go there. Seeing your daughter's house on fire and hearing about her murder on the morning news.

Cameryn’s butterfly tattoo and love for the symbol represent transformation and hope, a story her mother holds close.

Heartbreaking: every time I see a butterfly I will always think of Cameryn. Praying for all of her loved ones and for Justice!

Channel 2 is the only one covering this?

Going to watch Gray Hughes....

********from the article

Cameryn's mother Tina spoke with her the night before the tragedy, the conversation filled with love and hope, her last words were “Good night mama, I love you so so so much.”

Her parents did not know what happened until watching the news the next morning. I recognized the house and then I saw her car out front, and I screamed for Johnny and said, "This is that's a house that Cameron lives at."

Investigators say majority of the clues of the cold-hearted killing erased by flames that burned the home that remains boarded up.

Detectives say Cameryn was not the intended target. Who was the target then?

Despite a promising lead on the getaway vehicle, the car has never been found.

Killer entered through the back fence gate via the neighborhood community center.

It is an extremely horrible crime, and I don't understand why this isn't getting the attention of everyone. Three people killed in like 8 minutes and the guy just walks away. The house are all on top of each other and a lot of people and the community center has cameras. this should have been solved by now!!

Crimes in Houston don't get attention even ones as horrific as this. I'm happy to see Corley Peel cover this, she also covers the Liz Barraza murder.

The familiarity with that back fence gate!! It looks like he has to hop a smaller fence as well.

I watch Gray Hughes all the time I but took a sabbatical. I need to watch his coverage.

I'm so happy to see the one measly article.

I agree about the gunshot being mistaken for the car door slamming. I thought that immediately, but Sgt. Ritchie did mention recovering evidence from the vehicle but maybe that was based on the neighbor's comment. At least they towed it. Better safe than sorry.

Did anyone on the cul-de-sac have cameras?

It seems like when there's a case I feel should have been solved quickly but hasn't, it usually happened in Texas.

Wendy Posada, when she was announcing the $25,000.00 reward for information, said she thought she knew where the car was. But during that same announcement/interview, Wendy said the police were not sure what type of car the getaway car was. I am not sure which statement is correct. But, by now the police and FBI should know the make, model, and the year of the car. If not, that's pretty bad investigative work. There are car experts that can determine what type of car that is.

I notice that same thing in Louisiana.
