Agree. But, it could just be the difference in video quality. Back years ago they said that being on tv would add 10 lbs. Maybe , the first video if from an older system.
The clothing seems to match from hoodie, pants and shoes, in both.

It could also be the angle of the camera. I don't understand why he left the child in the car and left it unlocked. Any pics of the place the baby was stolen from? Why wasn't he parked closer to the building if he was leaving he baby in the car?

She looks like she was walking right up to a vehicle she knew without any hesitation or even a glance to see if anyone was watching. Her gate is almost too smooth as she approaches the car. It’s MOO but I think this person was very familiar with this vehicle.

Right. She doesn't seem sad or worried about her missing baby. She seems angry and outraged that people on social media are suspicious of her. I wouldn't care about anything but my little baby if I thought some car jacker had run off with him. But she doesn't seem focused on that.

But to be fair to her, it is possibly also the editing that could be making her look bad. They may have cut out the part I'd expect her to say and then they may have asked her what she thinks about the public backlash...so ????

At 2:58 the chief says "the family is not cooperating" and "the father is not cooperating".

Also the FBI is now involved in the investigation.

This does not sound good. Poor baby.

It's a pity they didn't show more of "his" mother.

In what they do show (and i accept it is only a clip) there are some interesting things to point out.

First she says

I'm "the" mother (see Patsy Ramsey 911 call. 911: Okay, what's your name? Are you Kath...?
Patsy Ramsey: Patsy Ramsey, I'm "the" mother. Oh my God! Please!) This is distancing language. The expected would be i'm "his" mother She does pull it back in when she says "my son" "my baby" which is good, although she doesn't use his name.

Second, we have the "me me me" factor.
When a child goes missing a parent doesn't care what they (the parent) are going through. All is they care about is what their baby might be going through.
Is he warm?
Is been fed?
has he had his bottle?
Is he crying?
Is he hurt.?
Has his nappy/diaper been changed? The list is endless.

You do everything asked of you no matter what others think.

Why hasn't she made a plea to the kidnapper to let her son go? This is something i would insist on. She eulogises about how a "good" father her boyfriend is (when this occurs it is usually to the contrary) but does not ask for his safe return (as of yet)
The distancing language, the past tense language, and lack of plea is not expected.

Why would this be?

What if the woman took the car seat to give the impression she was taking the child but it was an empty car seat and the child was never in the car?

Yes, the way she was carrying the car seat seems like it could have been empty. She seems to be carrying it with ease, it being very light. Dear Lord please, please let this child be okay.

Really frustrating part is that an SAPD patrol passes her up in the video where is walking with the car seat. I think she sees the patrol starts left then right again.

Unfortunately it sounds as though something happened at home and this ‘kidnapping’ was staged. That woman walks straight to that car, and opens it as if it’s her own.
