As far as I know, nobody knows.
Sorry this has probably been mentioned, but when was the last time King Jay was seen by someone that's not a relative or a person living in the house?
That's why the cops should have put out the amber alert. If (I hope this isn't the case) something happened hours or days earlier the movements of the family the car might be helpful. As far as I know, nobody knows.
Why didn't they do the Amber Alert right away? Even if the cops suspect the kid wasn't in the car, shouldn't they get the word out that there is a kid missing. Neighbors, friends people that came in contact with the family would be alerted immediately if they saw something odd but ignored it an Amber Alert would make them come forward possibly.
That seems weird. An Amber Alert might have given the parents a false sense of security. In t
In the article I linked above the police chief said King Jay has been entered into the state & national missing persons database but that it doesn’t meet the strict criteria for an Amber Alert. Maybe because the car was found?
I think CPS removing 5 children from elderly grandparents may be more about the bio parents who often use the grandparents (who typically have no criminal record themselves) as fronts. I understood the 5 were their great grandchildren (belonging to 24 year old SO). Grandpa taking care of his sick wife of 40+ years in their tiny home-- this not in best interest of children. Had baby KJ been in their care at time of illness/injury, I think grandparents would have sought aid and/or reported. I also think CD lied when he told LE KJ had been under the care of his (sick) Mom, and how he picked him up prior to going to store. MOOMy thought is perhaps KJ died while with the grandparents, accidental or perhaps abuse. They have already had children removed from the home (who belong to AD or SO I think) so if the grandparents hurt baby KJ, all the parties involved stand to be hurt by it. They could lose remaining children (JG is pregnant) and could lose the other 5 already removed for good. It gives them all a motive for the cover up. Given the grandma has cancer I can see them wanting to keep her out of jail as well. KJ just needs one person to stand up and put him first and tell the truth.
I am curious if the child endangerment will be dropped as LE said the baby was never in the car. The charge was for leaving him in the car alone.
This is the Amber Alert criteria for the San Antonio District:
SAN ANTONIO AREA AMBER CHILD ABDUCTION ALERT PLAN
ACTIVATION CRITERIA All of the following five conditions must be met in order to quality for a local AMBER ALERT:
1. The missing child must be 17 years of age or younger.
2. The investigating law enforcement agency believes that the child has been abducted, that is, unwillingly taken from their environment without permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
3. There is reason to believe that the victim is in immediate danger or serious bodily harm or death.
4. It is confirmed that an investigation has taken place that verifies the abduction and has eliminated alternative explanations for the missing child.
5. There is sufficient information available to disseminate to the public that could assist in locating the child, suspect, or vehicle used in the abduction.

They didn’t send out an amber alert because the car was found in a hot minute, and because dad’s story wasn’t straight from the start.
Can we sleuth her?
Per video news report, each state has their own criteria.
Why didn't police issue an AMBER Alert for missing baby King Jay Davila?

LE sought her out as a witness, not a POI. I understand LE located and questioned her Tuesday. Can we sleuth her?
I don’t think they are protecting anyone other than THEMSELVES. The mother IMO revealed FEAR and his minions (relatives) are probably also in fear.Could they all be protecting someone?
Yup, plus they located the vehicle within 30 minutes!Yes, each state has their own criteria for the Amber Alert Plan. As SugarQueen says, no's 2 & 4 probably didn't fit the criteria in this case.
It's a shame that it's so strict. I think in PA an Amber Alert would pop up on my phone and sometime it was like possible kidnapping unidentified young girl seen getting into a car possibly against her will.Yes, each state has their own criteria for the Amber Alert Plan. As SugarQueen says, no's 2 & 4 probably didn't fit the criteria in this case.
She is treated as a witness, I believe, not a suspect. Can we sleuth her?
