Where is Kristen Galvan? City leaders join missing Spring teen's mother in effort to raise awareness about human trafficking

The 15-year-old had previously been trafficked in 2019 before her family got her back. Kristen went missing again two and a half weeks later and hasn't been found.

SPRING, Texas — The mother of Kristen Galvan, a 15-year-old who vanished in 2020, was honored Monday at Houston City Hall for her ongoing mission to raise awareness about trafficking.

Mayor John Whitmire and Councilmember Mary Nan Huffman presented Robyn Cory with a proclamation.

"Tomorrow will be Kristen's 20th birthday," Cory said at the ceremony. "She'll be forever 15 in our hearts until she's home."

Cory said she will continue to fight for change in honor of her daughter.

"Kristen was a light in our lives and she continues to shine her light on the deep dark world of human trafficking," Cory said. "It's slavery, it's modern-day slavery."

Five years ago, 15-year-old Kristen Galvan vanished from Spring, Texas. Jan. 2 marks five years since her disappearance, and her mother, Robyn Cory, continues to search, refusing to let Kristen’s name fade into the void of forgotten cases.

“Today marks five years since I last saw my daughter, Kristen,” Robyn said. “Every day is a battle to keep her story alive. My biggest fear is that she’s being forgotten, that the world has moved on while we are still waiting for answers. But I won’t stop. I won’t give up.”

For Robyn, the pain of not knowing where Kristen is—or if she’s safe—never eases. Her plea to Kristen is simple yet deeply heartfelt:

“If Kristen were still with us, she’d never do this. She wouldn’t abandon her family. So either she’s being held against her will or something even more horrific has happened. Kristen "Kiki" Galvan, who disappeared on January 2, 2020, at the age of 15, would have celebrated her 21st birthday recently, but her family continues to search for answers about her whereabouts.

Kristen was once a Girl Scout and an honor roll student, but now, her mother recalls, she is forever 15 in their hearts. Cory has also spoken out about the lack of resources for child victims of human trafficking and has fought to ensure Kristen’s case remains in the spotlight.

I figure if she's still alive, she left on her own and may be living a life elsewhere, so I did a quick web search and did find a Pinterest account for Kiki Galvan. The photo looks very similar to Kristen and it appears to have recent activity. Wondering if this may be her?

edit: I found the profile. It looks like whoever the profile belongs to is Argentine, which gives me pause. Still an interesting coincidence and worth submitting as a tip just in case. I agree there are some similarities in the faces of the girl in the profile picture and Kristen.

No I haven't submitted. Its a pretty close match, much of the pins are in Spanish, I believe she is Hispanic, so it is possible I guess?

I am not familiar with her case but I searched for her case number and found that Amber Crystale was her nickname.
