Also, found this video taken 10 weeks ago buried in EM's Instagram. I'm assuming since it's a link and he's been arrested, it's allowed? It looks like he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. This would have been right after she went missing.

Just like you I can't figure out why it seems to be all so quiet and no word or action has transpired in the last weeks.
Can't understand mainly after someone was detained for making the hole where Leah was buried and the one who
lived in the property being also behind bars. But none of them charged with the killing. Nobody charged for
murdering her.
I come here and on FB pages everyday and see nothing new.
But Leah was murdered and her baby girl has no mother anymore

Forensic testing that was sent over to Tarrant County (Ft. Worth). Back when they found her remains and sent evidence samples off, they stated it could be up to 60-90 days for the results to come back. I'm sure everyone can imagine the workload involved for the testing labs around Dallas/Ft. Worth, with both being huge metro areas. It's just going to take time.....although the people on Facebook are about ready to bust a cork in the meantime. It is sort of fun to watch the rumors spiral out of control though.

The comments at the GL have been enlightening on a number of things and for a number of reasons. I can't make a connect, though, to how those things may relate to Leah's death.
The main thing I've taken away from following along is that a fairly broad spectrum of community members are beyond fed up with some things taking place that impact the community in horrifically destructive ways. I see impacted families represented among the vocal beyond Leah Martin's family.
I cannot discount everything being said, although some things strike me as folks desperate for answers and some impatience in having to wait.
I can't separate myself from them, though, because out here our communities are often very much intertwined. I am also fed up and greatly saddened. Not to mention fearful for how these issues may play out for the futures for too many of the young adults in our communities.
I continue to watch the comings and goings in the jail. Who's in. Who's out. Who has been shipped off to TDCJ. Who has federal holds. Who associates with who. And so on.
There are some folks in the jail that probably have some direct knowledge of the issues flying around in the sometimes-free-for-all mentioned.
I'm holding on to some hopes that some folks are willing to rip the bandages off, however painful and/or embarrassing that might be. Of course, fear is a factor that cannot be discounted.
I'm also holding on to my hopes that law enforcement operating in the area and the DA have a good sense of what happened to Leah.
I have to keep my mind open as to who all was involved in her death and why she was killed. I really cannot grasp why Leah Martin died. I hope that question gets answered through our criminal justice system.
I know what I have said is nebulous, but I want to avoid being too specific for now.
I only ask that the vocal cries from the community not be discounted as simply small town talk. The hurts and the fears are real.

The wait of 60 to 90 days seems forever but understandably so. It is definitely not quiet on GL. Someone is posting there about Websleuth with inaccurate info. Isn't that against TOS?

I think when the Texas Rangers get involved, they pretty much take over the entire investigation. As you probably already know, they are the Texas version of the FBI. They are a pretty highly respected and tenacious bunch, so I have little doubt that this crime is going to be solved and the people responsible arrested for the murder. They usually move in and take over when the smaller jurisdictions don't have the manpower or the investigative tools to get the job done, such as the Graham P.D.
I haven't looked at the GL Facebook page in a few days, so I'm not sure what you are referring to about the Websleuths post being in there.
I'm with you though, even after having read all the rumors and gossip surrounding her murder, I still can't establish what the possible motive was to kill this girl. My initial thought was exactly what it appears to be, this girl showed up at the shop that night and was sexually assaulted and killed. I'm not sure this case is as complex and confusing as it appears, but all the rumors and gossip have made it seem that way.
They may very likely have the two guys in jail right now that are responsible for the entire scheme. This may turn out to be nothing more than a couple of dirtbags attacking a defenseless woman, and then working together to try and cover up the crime the next day.

Normally with a homicide in smaller communities the Rangers and DPS investigations will be the lead agency.
Graham has a relatively decent sized police department and they were probably lead agency while Leah's case was a missing persons case. I am of the opinion that law enforcement suspected early on that her case was one that involved foul play.
The Ranger named in the arrest affidavits was brought in on her case from the beginning. Not surprising as that person is based in Graham and probably works integrally with other local law enforcement as a matter of course in investigations.
It may well be that DPS Rangers became the lead agency once Leah's body was recovered.
I don't know that Leah's case has publicly been acknowledged as a homicide after her body was found, but I cannot imagine her death not being a homicide, specifically a murder. I may not have caught any official classification of her death. No doubt her death is being investigated as such.
I've seen comments that mention this site. I can state that it is not me, nor do I have a clue who it is or interest in who it is. I also have no clue whether there have been any TOS violations.
If I'm not mistaken, some relevant comments have been in relation to the identity of the person whose name and identifiers were redacted by the Wichita Falls newspaper -- the person who had possession of the short-barreled shotgun prior to law enforcement obtaining it. Going by what I can see and understand, my initial discernment as to that person's identity from the redactions is accurate.

However, those folks associate with and have connections to folks who may well have knowledge of and/or personal experience with some of the unsavory activities being talked about. And they have a connection to Minkley.
At any rate, Minkley has local connections, at the least through his handyman enterprise, to folks who are not unknown to local law enforcement.
I don't think he is a basically decent person caught up in someone else's bullcrap. Not at all. The girlfriend's protestations given their due consideration.
Those connections are part of why I keep an open mind that her death may be connected to these other things.
Or it may not be connected. It may turn out to be a small number of people involved in her death for a reason unconnected to these other things and her selection as a victim stemming solely from the misfortune of where she worked.
As for the number of people involved in Leah's death, I will be surprised if the number is anything more than one can count on one hand. I can't see a broader conspiracy to kill Leah Martin.
I can see broader conspiracies to keep all-too-regular criminal activities from being brought to light.
Not suggesting anyone in local law enforcement shares that desire to keep things hidden. Not suggesting they don't. That kind of thing usually requires weighty evidence for me to consider. Not that it doesn't happen, because it does.
One of the factors that leans me toward Leah's death being relatively unconnected to the broader criminality is that I have not seen anything around her that suggests she had any involvement in the dangerous crap that is destroying young lives in these communities.
I didn't think to screenshot a copy of her Facebook friends before they went permanently private. I looked at the list when she was first missing and I did not see any of "the usual suspects" connected to her. Not the ones I was aware of at the time; I might see the list differently from this point in time.
Sad to say that my awareness of bad actors and bad actions in these communities has broadened and deepened during the course of looking at Leah Martin's death.
I do think that the death of Leah Martin will see resolution in criminal prosecutions of those responsible. I also think it is possible that additional people could see charges related to withholding or tampering with evidence.
The scope of physical evidence and digital evidence are unknowns to the public at this time, as is the full scope of information law enforcement has been able to obtain through interviews and other methods.
The ebb and flow of workload from the DA's office as well as other law enforcement agencies is also a factor as to when forward movement in Leah's case can be known to the public. Possible that a prosecution strategy may be to withhold specific charges for the time being in order to protect other aspects of the investigation or other investigations.

As for the unsavory activities talked about in the free-for-alls, I can only hope that law enforcement agencies will look into them with the same level of importance as they look at, say, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, stolen goods, retaliations, and other associated gang-like activities, for examples.
There are lives in the balance and many of them will suffer long slow deaths that will impact and infect the future generations unless sunlight is brought in to do its work.

No further news, no further arrests....... It's almost a certainty this case hasn't gone cold.
I think those evidence labs need to build a few more facilities and hire some more people.

This really seems to me like a woman orchestrated this murder. With the two in jail I was sure there would be a sexual assault. But none in autopsy?
Here's my theory, one or more women lured her to that shop. Once she got there over took her by surprise. An auto shop would have plenty of "tools" to do damage described in the autopsy. Ring missing? Perhaps bought by a partner of woman? Sentimental? Taken as a trophy?
The women, close to Ross, called him in to help with the aftermath. Him and Billy go way back, so get him to help as well. Or maybe he was just hired to dig and had nothing to do with actual disposal.
Thinking it all went down in shop so owner definitely knows something. Still so many questions. Wish autopsy stated it any DNA or prints were found.
