If they do in fact find her body my guess we will have an arrest for her murder shortly after.
They will have to wait for DNA or dental.

They did say there is a homeless encampment or evidence of in the wooded area, could have been a transient that saw something now trying to bargain with it.

Jail or prison inmate?

Looks to be quite a deep dig.

This has to be excruciating for her parents.

ICKEdMeL covering live again

Continuing on his second channel so he get back to a trial
Following the livestream. So far LE cut trees down to get the excavator to the spot. Now a smaller dirt mover is going into the woods area.

IMO it shouldn’t be much longer for confirmation of a body being found.

It looks like they've started to break down and pack everything up.

I’m shocked. LE seemed so sure - enough to bring in heavy equipment. WTH happened?

I wonder what the ground penetrating sonar detected?

I'm not a police officer but I sure hope they go back and put pressure on the individual who provided the tip, and punish them for lying/providing false information if they can't get anything else out of them.

I'm upset they didn't find her. I don't believe she's alive at this point and I want her family to have some sense of closure. :(

I'm gutted too. I was hopeful for some real movement on this case, even though it would mean confirmation that L is gone

Maybe the additional spotlight on Lina will somehow bring answers, more tips, etc very soon. Continuing to pray for this family.

Ps I find Lina's eyes so captivating and it's heartbreaking to look at her pictures with so many questions. Maybe there is still hope.

They had a bad tip about a creek area in early 2022. The creek looked like the perfect place to stash a body. Apparently there was a homeless camp that caught someone's attention.

LINA SARDAR KHIL LATEST: After two days of searching a wooded area in northwest San Antonio upon receiving a new tip, SAPD now says that tip "was not credible." KENS Photojournalist Mat Gaskins captured these moments during Friday's efforts.

On Wednesday morning, Khil and a family advocate met with investigators to ask for more communication about how the case was going. They also requested that new investigators be put in charge of the case.

Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, SAPD began searching the woods less than half a mile from where Lina disappeared. Lina’s father said he was skeptical that it was a legitimate tip police were following.

“SAPD and FBI — they’re just covering their back. They’re not working. They’re just wasting their time, and they’re just acting like they’re doing something. They’re not doing anything,” Khil said through Asimi.

The family says they were told that changing the investigators was not an option. KSAT emailed the FBI and SAPD specifically about this request.

I hate to say it but knowing SAPD, the father is completely justified in his feelings. I myself have problems with them and have had a lawsuit since 2018. Just last week I went to 5th circuit court of appeals for oral arguments because they are appealing the judges decision in my case.
