so he took items from the apartment on the day of the murder? Or were those items taken during the previous breakin that mom now appears to think was not connected?Looks like he has confessed:

I don't remember mention of anything missing from the day of the murder? Did police hold that info about those missing items back from the public as a way to verify if and when they found killer or . . . ? Possible I guess.
