I'm with you on a connection to the Turner family, I just don't believe it is a total coincidence that she looks so much like Mr. Turner and just so happened to steal his daughter's identity. The Turners have claimed to have no idea who she is, perhaps they are lying or perhaps she is the illegitimate daughter of Mr. Turner and was kept a secret from the rest of the family. Here's a possible scenario:

LEK was a product of an affair Mr. Turner had. At some point in her life, she found out about this or was told. For whatever reason, at some point she needed a new identity and knowing about BST's death, she decided to use her info to obtain a new identity. Maybe she did this out of necessity, maybe she did it as a spiteful payback to Mr. Turner for never being a part of her life. At some point she thought the Turners were onto her and changed her identity to LEK.
If this was her intent why not simply claim her paternity, legally if necessary?seems a stretch to illegally change her identity just to spite him.

Hey, I don't know if this has been found yet, I've never seen it before: http://www.cityofpuyallup.org/agend..._1188/5069_Public Records Report 07-02-15.pdf. I found it by googling Lori Ruff Puyallup. According to this document, in April of this year an anonymous person put in a records request for info shared between the City of Puyallup and Agent Velling regarding Lori Erica Ruff.

Under the Washington Public Records Act, §42.56, I request: Any communications between your
agency and Joseph Velling, Special Agent in Charge at the Social Security Administration's OIG office in
Seattle, WA, including email ([email protected]), U.S. Mail (701 Pike Street, Suite 1000, Seattle,
Washington), fax (206‐553‐1002), or phone (888‐250‐4172, ext 18417). I also request all records

Was this someone in the WS community? Or possibly some producer for a tv show?

You are correct. Anyone know Italian?
The title translates to The woman without a past. Seems like an Italian retelling of her case / story. Not sure what the cease and desist email is about.

Sorry if I sound like a Debbie Downer here but why should government money be spent so the Ruff’s can find out her real identity? Shouldn’t they be footing the cost for an investigation since it isn’t of any benefit to the government now? From what I’ve read the Ruffs want to distance themselves from all this, it doesn’t sound like they are pushing for further investigation. With Velling retiring I doubt this case is a top priority for whoever took over his job. Just my opionion…
I think the government's main interest was the identity theft angle... And the nagging feeling that they couldn't solve it.

It's weird that the voice is distorted though..unless just using crappy mic and that's unintentional?

I get the feeling the video producer is doing it for effect... To give the video a dramatic feel, or suggest that he or she has been digging up facts / secrets that others want to keep hidden.

Hi all

It is indeed italian.

The title is: The woman without a past.

I dont know if the voice is disguised on porpouse but it makes it really difficult to understand a single word.

I ll try to sumarize it just to see if there is anything new in this video.

(Im Spanish- Spain not italian though i do understand it)

Comments on video from the uploader:

I thank you for comenting about the voice , can I ask , if and when you have time , watch the latest video I posted and tell me if the situation has improved ? Thank you in advance

So it was not intentional, it was just a technical issue.

But he/she said a new video was uploaded theorically with the right voice but I cant find it. I wrote him/her to tell video is still wrong to see if he/she can fix it. Let´s see if we get an answer.

I recently read the book "The Disaster Artist" by Greg Sestero, about the production of the neo-classic so-bad-its-good movie "The Room" and his relationship with Tommy Wiseau. And I got to thinking about this case, because Tommy Wiseau is pretty much a man who has erased his previous identity and becomes pretty annoyed at any attempts at digging into it, even harmless questions. Over the then, 2012, 15 year relationship, Sestero has built a functioning knowledge of his past, lined out in the book, but admits that there is a reasonable change that everything he knows is false, because of a lot of "fantastical, sad, self-contradictory stories". Tommy was so paranoid over his privacy, that when Greg ad-libbed "Guerrero Street", Tommy was furious, because that was where his apartment at the time was, even though no one would be able to guess that, just from Greg adding a street name to a line. And he refused to let them use his car for a shot, because of "license plate issues", even though the license plates would never be seen. Tommy has consistently claimed to be from New Orleans, even with a heavy eastern-european accent (Tommy even wrote, in an ad for The Room, that he was a "true Ragin' Cajun"). At one point, Greg found Tommies drivers-license, that had his year of birth as "1969", making him 32 at the time, a lie if there ever was one, Tommy obviously being at least a decade older than that. He later got confirmation, in the form of a sister-in-law working in a government job being able to find his immigration papers, that Tommy was indeed born in the fifties, in soviet eastern Europe. He once talked to his friend about Tommy, and when the friend started asking Tommy questions, Tommy was absolutely furious and terrifying, and saw it like a personal betrayal, like Greg had no business even telling people that he existed.

Tommy, as far as I am aware, never stole any identities, in order to change his original, but the furious privacy just rings a bell. He built an entire life from scratch, once he arrived in San Francisco, even a fortune, and was and continues to be insanely private about his past. He probably never committed any crimes (Greg does mention that he may or may not have worked a menial position at a mafia-owned restaurant, but says, of Tommies abilities for crime, that Tommy would probably manage to screw it up completely, to the point that he would be loathe to even commit any crimes if Tommy was anywhere in the country, though a running joke on the set of the Room was that it was a strange money-laundering operation, since there is no clear way that Tommy built his fortune of several million dollars), and his need to plaster his head over LA on a billboard for five years probably means that he is not running from someone. He just up and changed his entire life, sometime in the late seventies or early eighties, name, age, origin, everything, for no apparent reason. Again, that reminds me of Lori. Angrily rebuffing most questions of her life, the little she did tell not adding up, angrily refusing her name being in the paper for the engagement announcement, though it would make little difference. Just a reminder that, in the words of Mark in The Room, as played by Greg Sestero, "people are very strange these days". And sometimes they don't need a reason to be.

I wish some show like 48 Hours Mystery (which I have emailed a couple of times) or Dateline would do an episode on this case, as far as I know there has only been newspaper and magazine articles about it, nothing on TV. Sadly, a lot of people don’t take the time to read anymore, I think if it were nationally broadcast on TV someone may recognize her.

I agree - this type of identification is probably the only way her identity will ever be discovered, and even if it had to be in reruns for 3 years before it happened, a high profile show like that would probably do it.

I was looking over the timeline once again and wondering why she had a mail drop box in Boulder City, NV that forwarded her mail to Dallas. In our discussions on here I haven’t seen much speculation as to why she would have a mail dropbox in that area. Was she from there? Lived there for awhile?

I'm from Seattle, where the news article about her originally was published and there has been much speculation as to whether she has ties to the Pacific Northwest so yesterday I emailed every TV news station in Seattle asking them to do a story on this case.

You know there was a show for missing folks, Disappeared. They really should do a show on the unidentified. I'd watch. There are a lot of cases on here that just suck me in (this one and the woman who killed herself in the hotel room with no ID...and the woman on the grave with the Christmas tree) so I know a show about it would be successful, I'd think.

So interestingly enough, today my office (which is part of a government agency) received a public information request. I thought that the requestor had to make their identity known but apparently I was wrong, you can make a request via an anonymous email address and not even give your name or any personal info. So absolutely anyone could’ve made the request for info about LEK.
