sorry work was CRAZY today! I cleaned it out now
I also am interested in what name the PO box in Nevada was registered to , and when it was opened.
Thanks for the spring clean out
I swear I thought the PO Box was in Sparks, NV... but when I went back and read some comments on the Seattle Times article and the first few pages said "Boulder City". I don't trust myself any more
Didn't she tell the Ruffs that she had lived in Scottsdale prior to moving to TX?
Also, wasn't the NV address actually a mail drop rather than a mailbox? The stuff sent there was being forwarded to TX, right?
It definitely wasn't Sparks. I lived in Reno, and I would have remembered that connection.
I'm thinking it had to be a mail drop and not a PO Box. I've had a few PO Boxes, and I've always had to provide proof of a local street address.
So the mail drop in NV was in the name BST right? What would be the point of having a mail drop in that name if she then changed her name again so quickly to LEK? What mail other than the initial ID card would she be expecting to receive under the name BST?Thank youYou're are correct!
"But the rest of the clues led to dead ends. The attorney named on the paper, a man in California, said he didn't know anything about this mystery woman. A deeper hunt revealed a mail drop under her name in Boulder City, Nev., that forwarded her mail to Dallas."

Unless she'd been living under the name BST since well before she applied for the birth certificate and was expecting mail from someone/people who knew her by that name, would that be possible without an ID card in the 80s? To live under a name without the accompanying official documentation I mean.
Yep. Like I said I have no way of verifying this person other than paying for an investigation lol! But unless he is conducting a huge prank with fake linked in messages I am guessing he is legit

the 910 is area code .900-999 ITIN* Individual Taxpayer Identification Number if next two digits are in range 70-88. then punch in 02 and it says not issued.

Thank you ClaireNC! I knew I wasn't going that batty!
I wonder if Velling knows this person is sharing his emails? Not very professional of this PI, imo.
I'm pretty sure he knows the publicity this case has generated. He wanted the Seattle Times article written because he was at a dead end and needed the public's help. IF that's a legit message from Velling, I feel certain he wasn't sending anything he didn't want repeated. He's not personally or emotionally attached to the case. He (was) an investigator for the SSA, at at the end of the day his job is/was to solve LEK's crime.
The brunette could be. I think it's the curls & eyebrows. She also looks hopeful in the same way LEK looked in the early IDs.I'd like to know if anyone thinks this is a "young" FLEK?![]()
I want to add, that pic really looks like it could be her. The timing would be right based on the curtains & clothes too. You've got to tell me who that is!
