Personally I think SS1988 was a troll and we really should not give any consideration to anything he/she posted. IMO

You may be right. But if SS1988 was a troll, he'd be the first one I've encountered in these threads. Which is unusual, because most online forums attract far more than a solitary instance. Maybe trolling a bunch of people trying to identify a dead woman in Texas isn't all that fun.

On the other hand, if SS1988 was telling the truth, this is a peek into the earliest known moment of LEK's life. Something that gets us a little closer to her. Something we have far too few of.

But, I don't want to say just yet because I'd like to see if more people think she could be a possibility. (I have a reason for wanting a few others to reply, which I will reveal later) I will say she is a missing person.

In the picture you posted, she could pass for a child version of FLEK, but when I look at the older pictures of RMG I don't see a resemblance. Looking forward to reading your theories.

I see it in the nose too - and the expression. I do wonder about the way her teeth show differently in each photo - top teeth show in one, bottom in the other, both with a similar mouth open expression. Although that could be due to baby teeth being different to adult teeth. It's so hard to say with a picture of a child but I wouldn't be surprised if it's her.

Does anyone have any other thoughts on the social security number listed on the Idaho I.D. (assuming that's what it is)? The number comes up as an "Individual Taxpayer I.D. Number". Per IRS.gov:

An ITIN, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, is a tax processing number only available for certain nonresident and resident aliens, their spouses, and dependents who cannot get a Social Security Number (SSN). It is a 9-digit number, beginning with the number "9", formatted like an SSN (NNN-NN-NNNN).

To obtain an ITIN, you must complete IRS Form W-7, IRS Application for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. The Form W-7 requires documentation substantiating foreign/alien status and true identity for each individual. You may either mail the documentation, along with the Form W-7, to the address shown in the Form W-7 Instructions, present it at IRS walk-in offices, or process your application through an Acceptance Agent authorized by the IRS. Form W-7(SP), Solicitud de Número de Identificación Personal del Contribuyente del Servicio de Impuestos Internos is available for use by Spanish speakers.

Very interesting - so these numbers were only given to people who were not US citizens?? That seems weird if she was pretending to be BST who would clearly have been a citizen.

Did you see my photo caption or did you guess? It is Rose Marie Gayhart and I as others saw the uncanny resemblance in that photo, but I also did not see it in the older photos, (take off the glasses and put contacts in her eyes and the facial structure is the same though) thus the reason I wanted to get the input of all of you sleuthers who have worked so hard on this case.

I don't have a theory on her--I came across her picture looking for someone else--saw the resemblance and said WOW--that could be a very young FLEK, wanted to put it out there to see what you'all thought. Her family is still searching for her and her sister is very actively searching. Not sure if she maybe able to help us or not. I suspect the sister that is looking for her is the other girl in the photo. She went missing in March 1985 after moving to Florida. I'm not sure where she is originally from.

I did check her out on Namus and DNA has been submitted and fingerprints are on file, but I'm not sure if that was done before or after FLEK. I have see where someone has submitted a match even though those are on file. Not sure if it worth investigating her any further. What do you guys think?

It is Rose Marie Gayhart.

Tie into the keeping the baby...

One is why she hasn’t tried to claim the possessions that Stadelman now keeps behind his desk. The filebox contains a scrapbook with memories of Gayhart’s baby, who died.
That book contained the baby’s birth and death certificate and other items. It supposedly meant everything to her Stadelman said.

More pictures of Rose. I am about the same age as FLEK and I do recall the rage was to get your hair permed. I think the hair throws it off, because in my opinion the pictures with the really curly hair--are her with her hair permed. Here is another pictures without the really really curly hair. Notice in the one picture how long her hands are!

The family is from Livingston County New York. I believe she has at least 3 others sisters. She also has a living son and a child who died.

I did HR & payroll for a number of years, and it was always pounded into my head that an applicant/employee cannot have a social security number that starts with 9 and If they put one on their forms the payroll company's system would flag it. It happened to me one time only and was immediately flagged by the payroll service provider. The tax id number is given to people who for example have a green card or are in the process of applying for citizenship. Since the ID card says she was born in Bakersville, I think the ID number is not related to social security. Unless she guessed a random social security number and just so happened to pick one starting with a 9, which at this point nothing would surprise me lol. Just my opinions

Unlike all of the other photos that have presented as possible matches, this one (forgive the double negative here, I don't know how else to phrase it) doesn't NOT look like her. Children have softer features, so there are probably a lot pictures of children that could look like a particular adult, but comparing these two feature by feature? I sure wouldn't dismiss it.

Also if you look at her teeth in the pics there is no way shes LEK. RMG 's teeth are crooked and Lori's are straight dispite the gaps.

Wow! I still have a couple pages left to read to be totally up to date, but this picture of the girl on the right seems the closest match to LEK that I have seen of any of the missing photos so far. What gets it for me is the eyebrow shape and the somewhat curly hair! Also a bit of the smile/lip shape and size and perhaps teeth, though it's hard to tell when it's a little kid losing their teeth!

Now that I've gotten to the end of the thread, and see the RMG pictures, I only see a slight resemblance. Then one of the links took me to a page that said she was 23 when she disappeared. And was 5'2" and wore size 5 shoes. This makes me say it's not LEK. I could see if she disappeared when she was 15-16 then I could explain a growth spurt, but usually by age 23 your height is pretty well set. Or at least you won't grow an extra 8 of 10 inches!

So disappointed! I really saw some similarities in the young child photo.
