Rose Marie Gayhart is only listed as 5'2". The Charley Project has her shoe size listed as 5, it seems to me that she is just too small a person to be a match. By 23 a person is as tall as they are going to get. It's an incredible likeness though, I was coming uncorked last night trying to figure it out, thinking we had something for sure. I'm at work, so not really anytime to post & look today. :jail:

once you it puberty your pretty much set in your height unless you have an underlying medical condition and you ended up growing. for those who say she could be a match with the 5'2 person unless this person was a late bloomer and i mean very late bloomer it can happen to some people then she could have a growth spurt.

i think we need to look for people who are missing who had a really rough life upbringing and she wanted to escape her demons and her past she finds happiness for a while with someone else but then as her world with her new life family comes crashing down she knows she cant hide anymore the methods she used in the past wont work anymore due to technology, shes probably very depressed at this stage in her life so she takes her own life.

i know reading in the past threads she was believed to be older when she gave birth so we need to look at runaways who would now be anywhere from age 40-50s and go from there

I am so hung up on Cynthia Perry for this reason. I contacted the investigator listed on NAMUS to suggest a comparison, but haven't heard anything.
-Her nickname was Lori *(middle name Lorraine, she went by Lori)
-Yes, the height is off, but CP's height is the same as the height LEK listed on the Idaho ID. I believe it isn't a stretch to think that LEK hadn't been properly measured in a couple years & just didn't know her actual height.
- It is listed that CP had a heart tattoo on her arm, but pulsed laser tattoo removal was really picking up in the late 80's and early 90's. In addition to the breast augmentation, possible nose job I think it is completely believable that she had the tattoo removed. If you are going to go through all the trouble to get 2 whole new identities and criss-cross all over the country, and undergo at least one plastic surgery, you are going to laser off a tattoo that could identify you.

Ok. Please forgive me if this has already been discussed. I found more pictures of FLEK on FB by searching Texas Business Women of Bonham. Has anyone contacted any of the other women in the pictures to see if they have insight? She appears to have been a very active member, secretary at one point.

Did you see my photo caption or did you guess? It is Rose Marie Gayhart and I as others saw the uncanny resemblance in that photo, but I also did not see it in the older photos, (take off the glasses and put contacts in her eyes and the facial structure is the same though) thus the reason I wanted to get the input of all of you sleuthers who have worked so hard on this case.

I don't have a theory on her--I came across her picture looking for someone else--saw the resemblance and said WOW--that could be a very young FLEK, wanted to put it out there to see what you'all thought. Her family is still searching for her and her sister is very actively searching. Not sure if she maybe able to help us or not. I suspect the sister that is looking for her is the other girl in the photo. She went missing in March 1985 after moving to Florida. I'm not sure where she is originally from.

I did check her out on Namus and DNA has been submitted and fingerprints are on file, but I'm not sure if that was done before or after FLEK. I have see where someone has submitted a match even though those are on file. Not sure if it worth investigating her any further. What do you guys think?

Rose Marie Gayhart IMHO looks nothing like the 1988 Idaho FLEK. And RMG was 5'2" as an adult. Her DNA and prints are in the system.

I have my own theory. Since FLEK looks like a LeBaron, Terry Turner, Jennifer Wictor, RMG, etc, there is only one explanation: she was a shapeshifter.

Or maybe we tend to see what we want to see.

I believe agent Velling as well as the Ruff family have probably asked these women if they had picked up on anything about her after discovering she was not Lori or Becky. I imagine there was a good bit of gossip locally. I also doubt that she would've confided in any of these women. It would be an enormous risk for her to take.

I am just confused by her being such an active member of that organization, the Secretary, and the very negative, rude persona the Ruffs have presented of her.

Very interesting - so these numbers were only given to people who were not US citizens?? That seems weird if she was pretending to be BST who would clearly have been a citizen.
*Or I guess she could have just made up the number or stolen it from someone else...

They are also available to children who can't be assigned a SSN, so their parents or guardians can claim them as tax deductions. That's what happened with our daughter, whom we adopted. Because the adoption process was dragging, we obtained an ITIN for her so we could get that deduction.

But the moment she was legally ours (to simplify the tangle of laws & rules surrounding the adoption process), we got her a SSN. Even though I doubt she'll need it to join the workforce for maybe a decade.

I had the same thought...if she was as strange and rude/snotty as she was portrayed to be, she would not have been elected Secretary (or probably even been in the group).

Idaho allowed people getting ID cards to get them without SSNs. They probably just assigned a number so the computer would have something in the box to display and not error out. I had a job where people would apply for things and if they stated they had no SSN, we assigned them a number randomly beginning with "999-" because you couldn't save off the screen with the SSN blank.

This person was being forced to return to NC from PA in 1987. Did she go back to NC? or run away from PA instead? (She ran away from NC to PA initially.)

https://casetext.com/case/in-interest-of-cp-8

This is an appeal from an order of the Superior Court which reversed an order of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County in a case involving the return of a runaway child under provisions of the Interstate Compact on Juveniles, 62 P. S. § 731. In accordance with provisions of this Compact, a requisition had been filed in North Carolina by the father of the runaway child requesting that the child, C.P., be returned from Pennsylvania to North Carolina.

At the time of running away from home, C.P. resided with her father in North Carolina, though at various times prior thereto she had resided with her mother, inasmuch as C.P.'s parents were separated. The mother of C.P. had relinquished primary custody to the father.

I think we are being given the "image" the Ruff family wants us to have. I mean remember we only have ONE portrayal of who she was. I would bet she was much more down to earth, happy, and as normal as we all are. At least for the most part of her married life. She may have flipped the switch right at the end and that might be the image the Ruff family portray.

I have seen Rose Marie Gayhart listed as 5.2" as well as 5.6".

When I do a google image search for Idaho state issued I.D.'s, none of them have a number on them that is in the format of a social security number, but I can't find any that are that old. More current ones have an I.D. number (not formatted as a social security number) rather than the additonal record number listed on BST's Idaho I.D. I can't imagine what it would be other than a social security number (or in this case a taxpayer identification number).

I would assume agent Velling looked into this already, but I don't recall it ever being mentioned here before. I wonder if you could just give them any number back then and they just took a person's word that it was their Social Security number. If so, times have certainly changed!!

Thank you for the information regarding the adoption process, I was curious to know what types of circumstances a taxpayer id number would be given other than when a person is not a legal citizen.

Do you know who this C.P. Is?

FLEK's in-laws weren't the only ones to provide their observations and opinions about her. If she was part of a women's business group I'm sure she would be less likely to be "rude" "strange" or "snotty". Her in-laws were trying to get close to her in the beginning, then they were trying to get normal information from her that any family would talk about among each other. The way people behave at work isn't always the same way they behave at home.
It doesn't seem that FLEK might become extremely defensive and protective when it came to information about her identity.

Oh, happens all the time. I'm in several similar groups, some larger, and there are PLENTY of rude/snotty/off/inappropriate women AND men who are very much involved, including in elected positions. Could give multiple painful interaction examples from this week alone!

No. I wondered if it was Cynthia Perry though

The birth dates don't match- that was the first person I checked! Cynthia was 05/07/68. The CP in the court case was 7/26/71, if I am understanding correctly.
I googled GK from the court case, haven't come up with anything so far.
