Going back to the discussion about Nevada MO, there is a hit on the BST name out of Columbia MO, a 3 hour drive away. There's a good chance this isn't the same person, but it's interesting. Scroll down to see it:

I think Becky Sue Turner is just a common name.
I am intrigued by the coincidence of someone from Nevada, MO living in the Boise, ID address and there being a real person named Lori Kennedy from Nevada, MO. Nevada, MO high school yearbooks are not on Ancestry so I've been scanning through the Nevada Missouri Newspaper from the 1980's to look for any significant event or pictures of people who look like FLEK. I got excited when I saw an engagement picture of a girl wearing a striped shirt almost identical to FLEK's Idaho ID. I did some digging though and it's not her--the lady in the striped shirt was still living in Nevada, MO in 2001. Haha, I think I need to step away because I'm seeing FLEK everywhere!

I still think she's related to the Lebarons. Perhaps a daughter of Ervil. She looks JUST like his daughter Jacqueline Tarsa LeBaron.

I know, something seemed off to me as well. What seemed the most off to me was how emotional he said he was over her death and how protective he was of her reputation. He capitalized the word "Mother" when referring to her. It makes me think he could be someone who knew her more recently like her husband or a friend of the Ruffs. A recent friend would be more motivated to join a message board, defend her and then leave it alone. His intense mourning of her is just strange if knew her 22 years ago. I can think of a few people I dated 20 plus years ago who I had great brief relationships with and have not had any contact with them since. If I suddenly found out tomorrow they had died I would not be so broken up. I might think it was sad they died and we never reconnected but I'm not going to mourn. This poster presented as a man (dated FLEK and had a wife) but was very emotional and used emotional language men don't use as often, imo.

Perhaps FLEK was this person's, er, "First." Could explain the years-later emotion.

Lol, good luck with research! That family is all over the place with hundreds of kids. Most illegitimate. I spent almost a year researching them. Actually Lori looks more like rena chynoweth who was deeply involved with them.

There was also a phone number attached to the account. I ran the number through spydialer and it came back to somebody else; and spydialer could not get the voicemail message to pick up. I can only assume the number has probably been reassigned elsewhere by now.

Could cedar be radec spelled backwards? There's a very small town in CA by that name.

This is my first post, very random to start here but what the heck right? Anyways I started down the Eelma rabbit hole because both the first and last names are very rare (especially the last). And there is very little on a "BE" anywhere on the net. However, after some digging I believe I did find that "Birgit" on Facebook under a married last name. But her lack of Internet info, and her ties to that address during that period of time are still a little odd.

Welcome to the craziness of endless rabbit holes! I had much the same results in trying to search for this person. It almost makes me wonder if that was a made up name or an anagram for someone else. Could the owners of the house have been part of an underground railroad for abused women or women escaping polygamy? It sounds like a made-for-tv movie. Yet I'm at the point in this case I'm willing to believe just about anything.

I ran into "Birgit Birgit" on multiple sites as well. And after I found "Birgit E" on FBook I immediately thought about this same theory of 7101 El Caballo being a "safe house" for women of DV. I have read through most of the threads over the past 6 months but I can't remember if the Barker's have been talked to regarding FLEK? I vaguely remember someone mentioning that Velling spoke to them? If so, what questions and to whom did he ask them? If this was a safe place for women than I wonder if they would have even told Velling the truth about knowing FLEK?For the safety of other women it would make sense not to divulge ANY information about their role as a safe place. I worked in legal aid and the secrecy with which we handled EVERY detail of our DV victims surpassed any other area of law I have been a part of.

I found Birgit E's name listed as a graduate of Capital High class of 1995 on facebook. So she was in high school in Boise, ID. She is obviously not FLEK because she's not old enough and graduated from high school long after FLEK was gone to Texas. But now my alternate theory is maybe the Barkers hosted her as a foreign exchange student. Her name comes up as being Estonian. Could FLEK have been from another country and learned English well enough to have no accent?

ETA: I think the Barker's were questioned and claimed no memory of FLEK but I'm going to see if I can find that. I don't know if it was Velling or someone from this community that contacted the Barkers.

What was interesting is the connection to the WA, OR, and TX addresses beside ID. Everyone here has been chasing their tails in those states to figure out who FLEK was...so what is the connection between these 2 girls and those states??? If someone can PM the married name to me maybe I can try to dig something else up on her. For the sake of the college, I did not post the full name~~but if someone PM's me, I surely will share. I saw someone had a classmates account, I'm assuming those have yearbooks too? I went to a college that didn't, so I'm not sure what the other colleges do.

Thanks. The reason I asked is I was exploring the people who lived at the same address Birgit E. lived at in Nevada, MO, looking for any connections to FLEK. In the process I found there is a Cedar Street, Cedar Ridge Elementary School and Cedar State School for the Disabled all in Nevada, MO. In nearby El Dorado, MO there is Cedar County Memorial Hospital. This lead me to realize that Cedar County is right next to Vernon County where Nevada, MO is located. Probably all coincidences given the frequency of Cedar throughout the country.

Oh and another thing. The local newspaper for Nevada, MO is located at 131 South Cedar. So any searching for relevant news stories that happened on Cedar St in Nevada, MO are stymied by that coincidence--it's posted at the top of every newspaper page!

I have the Classmates account and there are all kinds of yearbooks on there to look through. In colleges and universities, not everyone takes a photo which goes into the book; in my university, it was not mandatory. So someone could attend, be a student for the four years, and never appear in the yearbook.
