Mission police have appealed to the public in the disappearance of an elderly man.

Lucio Amador Vargas, 80, was last seen walking down South Mile Road and Los Ebanos Sunday night.

He was headed to Rio Bravo, Mexico.

Vargas was last seen wearing a black and grey polo shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information should call Mission police at (956) 5....

Lucio Amador Vargas, 80, was staying with relatives at their home on the 1400 block of West "G" Street in Mission. Vargas apparently got into an argument with his family late Sunday night and said he planned to walk to Rio Bravo, Tamps, Mexico, more than 30 miles away. Relatives told police they had not seen him since the argument.
