Hmm...Perhaps y'all are correct, but then again, never underestimate stupid.

I think your list with Mexican/Central American/International missing persons sites needs to go in a sticky, Bohemian. I will save them to my PC bookmarks. Excellent sleuthing there.

My thought though is if it were someone's uniform top, it would have a name tape on it. The use of the words desert digital don't make a lot of sense. The desert uniform was Gulf War era. ACU's were the first uniform the Army adopted with the digital pattern.

I'm adding to my Madison to-do list as we speak if anyone thinks of anything. A few people to contact and hopefully light a fire in this case.

That’s been my experience with kit in Australia in the past. Some members also had their service number inked on the tag inside their shirts, etc.

the description of the pattern and confused me when I was looking it up on the web too.

I did notice that some patterns were in use by other services and countries.

I have to and hate to say I agree. They would have to be pretty stupid to leave that behind knowing it could easily link straight back to them and they seem to have covered there tracks with everything else other than that. I feel it would have been too difficult for them to get away with this for so long if she was part of a military family.

If someone left the service, would their family still be covered by VA or just the veteran themselves?

Thanks watergirl but I can’t take credit for finding all of the links — particularly most of those for Mexico and Central America — just for collating them. I agree, a sticky would be useful.

Good on you, Ana. Comparing the evidence in this case to that of ‘Little Jacob’ in Galveston, I really think there is a good chance that Madison’s case is solvable.

Okay I dont think anyone is stupid enough to leave a shirt with their name tape in the tub with Madison, ITA with you there!

I'm not assuming they were in the military. I was thinking more along the lines of when the particular pattern was issued where. To try to narrow down the CA, AZ, NM, TX swath.

I spent hours on her clothing a while back but Walmart as a source doesn't help us much. Ever since Khandalyce's quilt, I have been inspired to follow the textiles and clothing. That's just me. ☺

We have the spanish missing person sites. I can work on those. We have the feeding tube. What else?

Thanks Bo.

For 12 months there wasn't even a sketch of Madison and no photos of anything she was wearing etc so I hope Little Jacob's picks up some once things get a little clearer for LE. The amount of UID's is disturbing but these babies like Madison and Jacob get to me the most, like Bella and Riley did.

I'm confident that someone will remember Madison through medical services and wonder what became of her. Just got to get the right eyes on the case.

That would depend on the circumstances of their separation from service. If they retire, they can keep Tricare but must pay a premium. The VA is a tricky entity. Usually only Veteran’s can use the VA. They used to have something called CHAMPUS but I’m not sure that’s in effect anymore. It was also for retirees and their dependents.

I wonder where the bedspread & blanket were from (we have a few options on the clothing and and diapers) but nothing on these items. I assume they will have been purchased at a national store or online otherwise I guess LE would have mentioned it and it could have pin pointed the area they came from. I wish we had images of these items too.

I think ‘Little Jacob’ has an excellent advocate in Capt. Schirard. All cases need an LEO/civilian advocate who will explore all avenues in an effort to solve a case. It doesn’t hurt that ‘Little Jacob’ has the FBI and CPS taking an interest in his case either. For Madison, it may just be a lack of local resources and, possibly, community interest.

Like you, I find cases of children who have disappeared without a trace and those who are murdered and UID hit me the hardest. Children are so precious and it disturbs me that there are those of us who are given the gift of their presence in their lives who can so easily abuse and/or dispose of them.

I agree, Madison must’ve had at least the bare minimum medical intervention to be fitted with a MIC-KEY device. Even if she didn’t have corrective oral surgery, there must be hospital records from her birth and medical records during her infancy.

It is a matter of bringing Madison to the attention of people who will be able to advance her case. I think you’re definitely one of those people, Ana. Bless you x

Lets get these babies their names back. :earth: :heartbeat:

I agree. In a recent Australian double homicide case, photos of the items found with the remains of an UID child were instrumental in garnering tips from the public to aid in her identification and, within months, those of her UID mother, whose remains were discovered in another state half a decade prior. Their alleged murderer is now before the court.

My pleasure. We’ll give it our best shot. They deserve nothing less.

Is this Karlie and Khandalyce Pearce?

It’s a tricky one. I wonder if Madison’s case was ever brought to the attention of the military, if only on spec.

Yes. Police released photos of clothing, a quilt which was handmade by her late Great Grandmother and the suitcase found with her remains. Those items lead to calls to Crimestoppers and Khandalyce’s eventual identification from the Guthrie test card from her birth. Then it was a simple procedure to match her DNA with that of her mother, Karlie.

I remember their discovery well :( It was so awful when news broke about Khandalyce being found and just got so much worse when it was found that Karlie was deceased too. Although, I hadn't kept up with it after they located that monster. I will have to catch up.
But yes, I remember the suitcase and the quilt, they were pivotal.

Their murders were brutal. I was vicariously traumatised during the investigation and arrest and I won’t be following the trial.

I know Madison’s death is considered a homicide in TX (ust as ‘Little Jacob’s’ is) but when I was researching micrognathia, it seems just as likely her death may have been accidental. Obstructive sleep apnoea and aspiration of stomach contents due to gastric reflux are two common COD’s in syndromes where micrognathia is severe enough to make tube feeding necessary.

I understand :(

Yes, I too read about the options for her COD when I first heard about Madison. There is definitely the potential here for it to have been an accidental death. It's moo that it wasn't just because of the way she was left. If it was accidental, they could have taken her to a hospital, it wouldn't have been anyone's fault but instead they dumped her and ran leaving me with a bad image of what they did to her and what they are trying to get away with.

No trauma found though so I do wonder how she was taken from this earth.
