The Texas Rangers are assisting Hockley County law enforcement search for a Smyer woman who was last seen the evening of Feb. 26.

I have my doubts that this is related given that the body is "badly" decomposed. They are using dentals to identify.

Now the press is saying a skull, tooth and femur were found, not a decomposing body. Praying we have answers soon, but I imagine DNA analysis will need to be performed.

I guess there is an outside chance that this could be Candice Shields who went missing from Graham but whose boyfriend was living in Sweetwater at the time. He's recently been charged with her murder. However I suspect that it is much more likely to be Hailey.

"May 2 is the National Day of Prayer," Hembree said, "and so my request is that whatever teams are meeting, where ever they're meeting -- in the community, in schools or city hall or churches -- that they put Maegan Hembree on their prayer requests.

I am a long time lurker here. I went to college at Lubbock Christian< played and and coached baseball there as well. I remember from 1999 to 2006 (the last year I lived there lots of people coming up missing. I remember Joanna Rogers missing and Rosendo Rodriguez later confessed to killing her and leaving her in a landfill. Rosendo was my brother in laws frat brother and his sister knew my wife well. That was pretty spooky, but during my time there I befriended Dustin Thomas Kendrick only to find out he murdered a girl he met on a dating site a few years ago.. Lubbock has alot of predators and I shudder when anyone else comes up missing. Does anyone remember the two women from the state school that came up missing and were killed by their coworker? I would hate to be a detective in Lubbock
