GUILTY TX - Maleah Davis, 4, Houston, 5 May 2019 *EX-FIANCÉ ARRESTED* #12

  • #301
According to jail house inmate, DV alleges that he was busy using his phone when Maleah crawled on to his lap, and he shoo'd her away.

Alleges he became upset when Maleah repeated interrupting him, and he threw her down causing her to hit her head. Maleah was unresponsive on the floor and later in bed -- DV panicked (fearing prior head injury) and drove her body to AR.

OK, nothing about this scenario says "accident" to me....
Nothing about being unresponsive causes bleeding. We’ve heard nothing about her bed or sheets. They wouldve been listed as missing or were found on the bed, bloody, if this story was true. Do I recall BB saying she slept in Maleah’s bed the following week?

Reportedly DV was doing laundry (again) which caused BB concern as she did laundry the day before she departed for Hartford.

I believe the only part of DV's story that is true is that he panicked -- but not about his actions, but panicked over where to dispose of Maleah's body that his crime would not immediately lead back to him. MOO

Yes, the panic was due to his fear of getting caught. If his story is true, then he admitted that since he specifically mentioned the head injury.
It fits right in with his alleged statements to BB that he wasn't going to "take the fall," when he didn't want her to take Maleah to the hospital.
Imo

I dont understand why BB hasnt been charged yet.
She admitted in her first interview that she kñew DV was abusing Maleah so why on earth did she leave her with him while she went on her little trip? That in itself is negligence.

Even if she wasnt directly involved in Maleahs death (personally, i think she was) she failed to protect her and report the abuse to authorities.
I know here in the UK them crimes are punishable with a prison sentence, unsure about texas law though.

There are so many holes in this investigation that its infuriating.
They need to prove that he abused her in the first place, and that Maleah died as a result, in order to charge BB with child endangerment. If they can't prove that then they have nothing to back up the charges.
I think the sentence for Child Endangerment is 2-12 years.
But they can't charge him just because BB said he was abusive. They need substantial evidence. Imo

If the sheets were bloody, that could have been part of the evidence he got rid of. He apparently did not use the gas to burn her body as was thought initially, so he may have burned evidence.

We still haven't seen the report of the interview with the inmate, except for a short clip when she was finished, but I would think she would have asked him about the blood evidence.
If she had done any research into the case she would know that it doesn't fit in with his story. Unless of course, DV knew she was dead before he put her into bed and he just told the other kids she was sleeping. Then he would at least know that that would be the story they would tell.

If that's the case I believe Maleah would have died sometime on Thursday or Friday at the latest. I can't see him hiding it from the kids for much longer than a day. Friday is the day he apparently cleaned up and put her body in the car so this makes the most sense to me. Imo

What to Know About Maleah Davis, the Missing Girl Who Was Found Dead After a Month

But Vence’s alleged story didn’t add up, according to police, who have since arrested him in connection with Maleah’s disappearance.

Yes, I agree. I also agree with most of the other posts above that posted since I last checked this thread.

I agree that in this most recent version he BLAMES her actions and cannot even see that, or makes what she was doing the cause of what he did. Grrr. Not that I believe a word of it. Typical of an abusive type, everything is the other person's fault.

Crazy is right. We went from QX and BB interviews, then her interviews, etc. to a mower (sadly), a "mistress" and now an inmate as well as it today seeming to be DV opening his mouth seemingly continually which I do not know that I have ever seen to this extent with an accused who is lawyered up.

I think what they have will tell a pretty clear story. Blood, video, statements, his changing stories. I hope they get something from her autopsy. I think we can all sadly assume how much she was probably abused.

Because you told me about it, I checked out the Sherin Matthews case the other day. She was let go and charges dropped? I did not read every single page but enough to be somewhat informed on it. Another very tragic sad case. That trial is due to start if I recall correctly? I can only guess there is a deal there and she is to testify. It doesn't make it necessarily right.

I agree that they are just letting things play out, letting DV talk and others, and watching and/or they are simply reviewing what they have, possibly awaiting autopsy results and then his charges will be increased or more added. Where they are at with possible other players, it is hard to say.

I hope she gets a proper service, burial and good bye and that all involved see to that for that day. She deserves that--and deserved far more in her life.

I like all of us await the results and further charges.

Jmo.
Chronological order of DV's lies (to make sense of it all)

-May 4/5: 3 Mexicans beat, stab DV and kidnap MD.

-Around May 26: DV tells inmate Chalfant that (1) MD died in her sleep from the flu, (2) he picked up MD and tossed/threw her causing her to hit her head somewhere.

-May 31: DV tells QX that MD died in an 'accident'.

-June 4: DV tells Chauncey Glover (ABC) that MD 'did not suffer, nothing bad happened to Maleah". (doing some damage control from using the word 'accident' previously with QX)
-----------------------------------------
I personally don't believe Chalfant's stories. I think the flu story may be true since DV is all about - it wasn't my fault, but Chalfant is fibbing about his #2 story. Even the dumbest criminal wouldn't admit to throwing and killing a 4 year old.

Take out inmate's #2 story and I can clearly see DV screaming 'Not my fault, not at all'.

It would be really interesting and important to know what detail DV gave QX regarding the 'accident'.

I am hoping that it will be low key and "appropriate" so that Maleah's life and legacy will be at the forefront of the service.

Unfortunately my gut tells me there will be drama to discuss once it's over. I can see it, hear it and feel it now. BB will be in fine form. With an audience of hundreds, it'll be her big day.

This needs to be about Maleah.

MOO

I think it's just one of the many things he has done to Maleah. He is admitting to the what he considers to be mild, while managing to blame her at the same time. So we can only imagine what other ways he abused her. Imo
It seems his favorite place to hit, punch, or even kick had been Maleah's head. He depended on her hair to hide the bruises. What a coward.

BBM

Hmmm....well.....you're the one that threw her across the room. You're the one who knew where her body was. You're the one who put her there. You're the one who made up the stories. You're the liar.

How is it that you didn't kill her? Maybe Vence could explain all this to me because I'm obviously not getting it.....

That means the attendees were screened for folks that will not heckle/jeer BB at the service.

Mayor : "The best way to honor Maleah is to make sure that accident of this kind never happens to anyone else".

(ETA: maybe he said 'incident', not accident)
You scared me! I listened again and I think he says "incident." MOO

Thanks for taking the time to do this. So that is about five stories and more if we consider like the changes in the stories w/the kidnappers (I walked, no one would give me a ride, no one would help, oh yeah, a lady gave me a ride, etc.)
