Good morning from Houston. Today is Derion Vence's arraignment on a tampering with evidence charge, specifically involving a human corpse. Vence is accused of dumping #MaleahDavis' body by an overpass in Arkansas back in May. I'll be live tweeting proceedings (signal permitting).

UPDATE: Vence will not be appearing in court today, according to the bailiff once again. His attys spoke with the judge for a min or so, and the bailiff informed the ladies with Maleah shirts in the room, as well as reporters. Said proceedings will happen later. Date not given.

Derion Vence was scheduled to appear in court for arraignment today. He’s charged with tampering with Maleah Davis’ body. His attorney instead had the arraignment rescheduled for September 16.

That sure answers the questions about whether or not Maleah still needed the helmet. Where the hell was her mother, who should have made sure she wore it? We may not ever see charges against BB but she really didn't seem to care much about Maleah.

While it's disappointing news I appreciate all of you posting updates about today's events. I'm trying to be patient and remember that the police chief said we should have an update in the next few weeks. That was 11 days ago.
