Unless not having two nickels to rub together is exactly why she is dead, if they did have a policy anyone in the household felt collecting on was worth more than a 4-year-old girl's life. Just speculation -- I agree with you that the life insurance angle is unlikely in this case and if there was one I bet we'd already know about it. They don't strike me as organized enough to pull that off especially given the ridiculousness of the kidnapping story; I think chaos, drama, desperation, and accidents are more their style.

It's my understanding that typical life insurance policies available for children are issued to cover funeral/burial costs ($10-15K range).

Don't think many underwriters out there selling/insuring whole life plans for kids.

I just want to take a minute to talk about the importance in having security cameras. A lot of people may thing "they" don't need cameras. My cameras, other than piece of mind, have never helped me, but they have helped my neighbors. In this case someone else's cameras may be what end up putting people in jail. Someone else's cameras just probably saved little Salem Sabatka's life allowing LE to find her in 7 hours. A full camera system can be bought for under $200 online and is fairly easy to install. They also could make a nice gift to someone. Something to think about.

Good post. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to have check out that case!

On the ABC interview w/BB
Reporter: What do you think happened to your daughter?
BB: "I don't know" "I can come up with a million and one REASONS, but I don't know what happened"
I wonder what the reasons were....
No, BB, you had a million and one warning signs that you ignored. There was zero reason why Maleah had to be murdered. And you do know what happened.

It's odd, when BB was defending DV she was adamant that he would never hurt the kids and they loved him, and then in just a week, BB can think of over a million reasons why something happened to MD. Moo

Gosh I don't know what he's doing. The whole thing is bizarre. I understand he has a lot of respect in the community and much is warranted, IMO, but he's not an attorney and he's implicating her in child endangerment.

Who is advocating for? BB? The community? Maleah? Himself?

If it's PR for BB it's certainly not working.
Right, in this interview below, Q practically announces - Here, arrest this woman for child endangerment.

She changed her story too many times regarding whether she was aware of DV's abusive behavior or not. Too late to go back to 'I never knew' (her current claim).

I have a feeling that BB will be charged with child endangerment. Probably serve some time too.

BBM- yeah, I hope so. Hopefully other charges as well.

I have a theory that he may not have done it, he stayed there though. The having to go home sick and all. Iirc, upthread, there was a time period where BB was home at the same time as M, prior to flying out that morning. She may have passed on his watch, but what if he wasn't the one who actually hurt her? Just a side theory that I've got.

I get it.... I have the same thoughts.

I was thinking this too....it’s plausible

Yes, it's already out there that she suspected or at least was aware of possible physical abuse and, thanks to QX , maybe some "innapropriate" bathing.
I think a lot will depend on what evidence LE finds as well as any prior investigation by CPS. It may be hard to prove, especially since it was not proven that any abuse occurred.
What QX revealed may have been even more damaging than what is already contained in the documents, but that probably can't be used against her in this case. Imo

I think it's also possible that she may have had marks or bruises or something they did not want anyone to see, and that's why she was kept home. Imo

I think, if this was accidental, it was most likely a neglectful act done in fear of the consequences and possibly out of the lack of/or delayed reaction to an injury that may or may not have been caused by actual abuse. Anything more intentional than this I don’t want to speculate. MOO

I think something happened to MD before BB left out of town and she needed immediate medical attention. I think BB was afraid to go to the hospital because of the upcoming CPS hearing and MD died as a result. Moo

I wondered if she still had seizures and he didn’t know how to handle going to the hospital and if they had been abusing her, it would be all on him since she was gone. I mean, BB had to have her mom tell her to go to the hospital and I guarantee she hesitated because it was not a fall. No matter what happened in that apartment, it comes down to the fact BB should not have left her child with that man for all those days. I’m not even sure BB should've even had her children. MOO

Yes, that's what I'm thinking too. There's not really sufficient evidence to suggest this was premeditated murder.
There are so many tragic cases where a child was killed as a result of extensive injuries due to abuse.
Something may have happened to Maleah that either DV or both of them tried to cover up, and instead of taking the risk of bringing her to the ER, they made a fatal mistake and she ended up dying. Imo

I agree. That blood they found in the house obviously isn’t enough for murder evidence at this point.
It could’ve been anything, nose bleed, if she did have a seizure she could’ve fell on her head, cut leg, etc. Or it could’ve been straight abuse, I have no idea. Not sure I really want to know.
