Yes, this is from the Charging Complaint on Harris County's Municipal Records website. Thankfully the minor victim's name is not in this document.

And while I'm logged in to that site, here is his criminal record with Harris County. The 2015 crime was for breaking & entering into a residence to steal 10 guns which he then proceeded to sell. And the 2017 crime was for possession of meth, so those weren't as petty as I first assumed them to be.

A 25-year-old capital murder suspect allegedly told authorities that he killed his grandmother in a bank parking lot before going to a Harris County home where he shot and killed his aunt, according to charges read in court.

And of course, he's never had a job, aside from two whole months as a landscaping helper. And the first news report I watched about him on my TV said that they cleared out the court room before he was arraigned, which is abnormal from what I've seen. So I guess they're making an effort to keep the details of his crimes a secret from the rest of the Harris County jail's population.

*Preliminary Hearing (@ 9am CT) - TX - Man rapes 12-year old cousin & murders her mother Janice C. James, 42 & grandmother Mary Jane Langdon, 66 in Houston on Nov 16, 2023 - *Tyler Chase Langdon (25) arrested (11/16/23) & charged (11/17/230 with capital murder (multi murder). Held without bond.
11/16/23: Investigators said the girl called 911 around 3 a.m. Thursday. She told detectives her relative shot and killed her mother and grandmother and sexually assaulted her. The girl told detectives she managed to get away and call 911 while the suspect was asleep. Investigators said a custodian at a nearby building heard the gunshots around 9:30 p.m. When her son picked her up from work, he saw a body in the parking lot. It is where investigators said the grandmother’s body was found. Detectives said surveillance video from near the bank showed a white truck with blue boxes in the back. Investigators later found the same truck in the driveway at the home off Deep Meadow Drive where the girl’s mother’s body was found. KPRC 2 was there as the truck was towed away, blood was seen on the side. Records show the truck belonged to one of the women. The suspect surrendered at the scene and was found with a knife and gun. The suspect faces two capital murder charges. His name has not been released at this time. The girl was taken to the hospital, according to detectives.

11/17/23: Probable cause hearing. Order-Granting mental-intelligence interview. Order-requested representation. Order-Financial affidavit filed. More disturbing details were revealed when a 25-year-old man accused of murdering his aunt & grandma in northwest Harris County appeared in probable cause court overnight. Tyler Langdon is charged with capital murder (multi-murder). Officials cleared out the courtroom & brought him in alone when he appeared before the judge. This is unusual because suspects normally appear in probable cause court amongst other individuals accused of crimes. Deputies stood on each side of him during his appearance. It was revealed in court on Friday that Langdon is also accused of mutilating part of her body. Prosecutors said Langdon later confessed to killing his grandmother & aunt in an interview with investigators. Next preliminary hearing on 11/20/23 @ 9am. Langdon’s bond & bond conditions will be determined in Judge Josh Hill's courtroom.

Family fighting to be reunited with 12-year-old girl who called 911 after grandmother, mother murdered

prayers for this girl, that she get all the supportive services she needs to deal with this trauma. She will never be the same. My heart hurts for her.

Investigators said during interrogations, Langdon confessed to killing his grandmother prior to that shooting by taking his grandmother to the bank parking lot, shooting her, and then mutilating part of her body with a folding knife.

Investigators said Langdon was not supposed to be at the home and had been convicted of criminal mischief and trespassing at that location in April.

There was no ruling on Langdon’s bond Friday morning, instead, the magistrate judge deferred the decision to a district court. On Friday afternoon, Langdon’s bond was denied.

An emergency order of protection has been issued for the sexual assault victim.

I'm going to guess a drug induced psychosis. The reports of what he did to mutilate his grandmother's body are awful and extreme. Articles suggest he has had drug issues and has been violent in the past. I doubt his thought process was as clear as "I am a pedophile - I want my minor cousin" I suspect she was not specifically the target. I think he had a great deal of rage toward the two adult women and the child was just - there and in his disordered mind, convenient for sexual release after all that rage. JMO

I think along those lines as well.
Although I wonder if that is why he was to appear in a closed courtroom. Was it rage inducing to be around any woman at all?

I was wondering if past incidents with the 12 year old cousin were the reason behind his being trespassed from the house originally. Perhaps, he was caught in the house? It does not seem logical that the grandmother would leave willing with him to go to the bank at 9:30 pm.
