This is how I interpret - she’s in Mexico, at the US Embassy and will come back to the US.

Waiting for update confirmation from MSM.

Did her phone arrive safely at her moms?

I can’t imagine going into Mexico without a phone much less a wallet (no ID).

A wonderful outcome! So glad she has been located safe. :)

Wow. I never expected that location.

It is possible she could have been kidnapped for ransom and LE is keeping it quiet....JMO

It is known to happen in border towns.

This is same link @Jim_M provided above. I've snipped/copied/pasted text below simply because everybody should be able to see these wonderful words! Such happy news!

*UPDATE* We are happy to report that Margaret Channon has been found safe and is being reunited with her family! Thank you to the hard working volunteers who worked to bring this family back together!

How did she get there without driving through Mexico? She couldn’t get on a plane to go there without a passport. My dad was the head of the DEA down there in the early 90s. Interesting country and such a strange case.

So I can’t find her Facebook or where she was found. It wasn’t Mexico after all? What’s the big secrecy about it?

If you enter her name in the search bar, the post by her dad, ABC, should be one of the first ones at the top.

I am not religious, but someone was watching over Margaret, IMO :).

I don’t know but it’s southeast of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico and starts with a B. They speak English there.

You’re welcome! Were you in Tulum? I found the ruins fascinating and just beautiful.

Respectfully snipped for focus:
I'm waiting, too. Have searched but, unable to find anything... <cue crickets>

Still haven’t seen anything. :(

So do we know how she ended up in another place far far away?

Other than being reported ‘found safe’ by Texas EquuSearch - TXEQ , there have been no further updates. I imagine it takes a little time to process, and have her actually returned. Then perhaps we will learn the details of MAC’s adventures ;)

I just noticed the Austin County Sheriff’s Office posted the following on its verified Facebook page last Friday.

Friday at 1:25 PM
“Margaret Channon has been found.”
