Ha...same thing. I turned it on and wasn't hearing anything. I checked all sorts of things on my computer and then closed it and restarted it...tinkered with the volume and then all of a sudden, BOOM...outburst of activity. I guess I was expecting a steadier stream. And I grew up with the police scanner on 24/7 in the background of my house, but I guess I forgot how they work, lol.

Actually it's a lot quieter on scanner tonight than a normal saturday evening in denton county . Must be a lot of people shopping and home doing holiday things and not as many crimes occurring yet. So a lot more quiet time than not.

Wow this is the third case I've seen in two weeks with mum found dead and child missing!!!

Just pulled up to crime scene . Mother found dead, discovered by a co worker.
They realized 4 yr old is not accounted. Couple is estranged.
Once again, boy is believed to be in VERY REAL DANGER !

So I would guess, since mom was discovered recently by a co worker, that if mom were working alone today, there is no real telling if he's been gone an hour or 10 hours, right? That is pretty scary .
The weather is really mild and they would be fine on foot, even overnight if they were without shelter.

Yes, it was warm today. Had to shave my legs. It's not going tto get cold but it's supposed tto rain tomorrow.

We had a very similar case in SoCal this week - dad, killed mom (found in trunk of the car), and 4 boys that they finally were able to issue an Amber Alert for once the mother was found dead in the trunk.

Dad is now in custody and the boys are safe thanks to some great work by CHP and SWAT less than two days ago.

Says a customer came by and found the door locked even though it was during normal business hours. Another employee came and unlocked the door and found her deceased inside. I drove past around 11 tonight and there was still a bit of police activity inside. I wonder how much lead time this guy got?
