Found Deceased TX - Maria Jesus Llamas, 69, San Antonio, 20 Nov 2016

Maria Jesus Llamas suffers from Alzheimer's disease and was last seen at the Poteet Flea Market on Sunday, Nov. 20. Her son-in-law said Maria's husband had checked out a pair of boots and when he turned around, Maria was gone.

Orta said store cameras showed Maria leaving the property. He said she has never wandered off like this before for an extended period of time.

Maria was wearing a black sweater with a white shirt underneath, black pants, black shoes and a black satchel.

I am so scared for this lady. I took part in some of the searches last Thursday and Friday and we have searched all over in the area. Her daughter works for the same company that I do and I just cannot imagine what is going on in that poor family's minds. Sad, sad time for them.

Praying she is found quickly. My mom does not have Alz, but she disappeared on us at an amusement park this summer and was very disoriented. It was terrifying.

Llamas has straight-ear, top-length hair and pierced ears. She wears glasses and upper and lower dentures, and she was last seen wearing a black and white blouse, black wool coat, black pants, black shoes and a silver necklace, and she was carrying a cross-body handbag.

I wonder if anything was missing from it. Other than that, I assume they've checked all hospitals and homeless shelters in the area...

I thought the same thing regarding the purse but couldnt find any info. From what I have read the purse being where it was is suspect or was ovetlooked.

The family has set up a command center on the 11 thousand block of Applewhite Road. They have also put a $5000 reward out for Maria's return.

I was trying to contact one of the posters on Facebook to get more information on the exact location of the purse when it was found. Some co-workers and I searched that same area, on both sides of the bridge, for hours. I'm just curious to see if we searched over it. The weeds and brush are high in that area, so it is quite possible. If anyone gets more info please post. Thank you.

I can't recall the color of the purse. The color, nature and the weather may have made it hard to see...if it was indeed there when y'all searched.
