Authorities are looking for a woman who possibly went missing Monday while walking in a Far Northwest Side park.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office says Mariadelis Labrador Siles, 28, was last seen around 9 a.m. by her boyfriend, who believe she may have walked to the Wildhorse HOA Sports Park off Mustang Gate near Loop 1604.

Mariadelis is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weights about 122 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was possibly wearing a blue light jacket with black Pumas shoes with pink soles.

If you have any information, call the Bexar County Sheriff's Office at (210) 335-6000.

It is always a huge red flag for me when someone leaves their house for what ever reason and leaves behind their cell phone and wallet (purse).

Last seen by her boyfriend. (Second red flag)

She’s also known to visit St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church on Roft Road.

This article says she was last seen Monday Night. All the other articles I have seen didn't specify if it was AM or PM.

According to the boyfriend she went for a walk alone at 9:00 PM in the dark (without her phone)???? (Third red flag)

I heaved a big sigh after reading description of the circumstances and last seen by info. I can see leaving her wallet, but not the cell.

If this was at 9 PM, I’m doubling down on my suspicions. Only way that makes sense is if she was fleeing the home, which is also troubling.

It's gotta be her.
Pretty sure this is a homicide.

Sheriff's office is treating it as a homicide

This is where she was found

Although it says she frequented St Anthony Claret, it would have been a two hour walk (five miles) from that HOA common area and it would not have been a pleasant or safe walk (speeding traffic, no sidewalks etc)

She may have been walking in the dry creek. (Helotes creek) They don't have trails over there and the creeks are dry, so that's where people sometimes walk. However, other people walking in the creek bed would be few and far between because almost everyone just drives into San Antonio, where they have numerous trailheads and parks.

It's a nice area and not an area where you picture someone being attacked, but there is always a first time for everything.

A BCSO spokesperson told the San Antonio Express-News that investigators also recovered a weapon at the scene. They could not elaborate on what type of weapon was found.

The body was found with signs of trauma but no gunshot wounds, Salazar said.
As of Thursday, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has not identified the woman.

“Due to the nature of the injuries, it is possible that this person did this to themselves, but it’s also likely that someone did this to them,” Salazar said.

I suspect the weapon will turn out to be some sort of sharp instrument like a knife. Perhaps she cut her wrists.

I think if this was a homicide no weapon would be found since her body would have likely been dumped there.

I read in an article linked up thread that she had some mental and personal issues, which might be the reason why she would self harmed herself if this turns out to be a suicide.

Detectives were called out to a wooded area off Mustang Ranch Thursday for a report of a machete, shovel and three wooden stakes found leaning on a tree.

These tools were located in the same area a Bexar County woman went missing Monday and a body was found Wednesday. Investigators collected these tools and searched the area more.

I was gonna post that. But KENS is the only station reporting and I wonder if some of that could be part of a homeless camp?

See the figures toward the bottom. This was where she was found.

Area is a natural path. (Although San Antonio approx 2 miles away has paved paths along the same creekbed)

They are waiting on DNA from her immediate family in Cuba for a positive ID.
