The Travis County Sheriff's Office says Marsdan Ellis Harp was taken from a home by his mom Thursday afternoon.
Harp and his mother were last seen traveling south on Mopac at FM 2244 in a dark green Ford Fusion, Texas license plate LGV-3638.
The child is three feet, nine inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities do believe he and his mom are still in the area, that is why only a regional AMBER alert has been issued. Regional alerts also do not send cell phone alerts or appear on road signs.
