Ok, I'm still reading, but isn't it odd that his phone turned off at 5:50pm and she texted him to say she was coming home at that exact same minute, 5:50pm? That's awfully specific and exact timing!
Exactly

I apologize to this thread, I think I broke a rule, is there a way to delete a post or picture?

I have to reply because I personally felt depressed and disappointed after the disappearance episode. I thought it was completely one sided. It left out a ton of information that would make HCSO and BC look bad. It seemed to be recorded simply so that HCSO could state their excuses for why they’ve handled this investigation so poorly. Klein was left out of it probably by request of SM. It just didn’t sit well with me at all. JMO
I had the same reaction to the episode. I felt it could have used another hour.

I don't believe he left on his own. I am the one who came up with the boat theory. The sheriff said MC got on a bike travelling 4.2mph. Ludacris. If you don't ride a bike at least 9mph there is something wrong with you. As I said in an earlier post the only thing that moves four miles per hour is a river. There was access to the river behind MC's house. He was murdered IMHO. A 70 yr old retired FF with bad knees Doesn't ride a bike 19 miles, 3-5hrs and jump TEN FEET off a bridge and die without anyone seeing you,

The boat thing has definitely been mentioned on and often since week one here. The thing that keeps tripping me up is:
1. If they have exact movement enough to know the exact speed, then they path they showed going back past WalMart is the correct path because GPS was used. They will know the exact path with GPS. They would have known it was on the boat.
or 2. If they used pings, rather than GPS, then that does not mean 4mph ride. It means an AVERAGE of 4mph. Which could mean 0 miles per hour for x amount of minutes and then 55 mph for x number of minutes.

I'm not ruling the boat out, but both of the possibilities seem to put it own on the list, for me.

I understand what you're saying however that's not what the sheriff said he said he was going 4miles per hour on a bike. He's not a cell phone expert are you?
We can only go by with the information we are given but we also questioned The credibility of people making the statements. Cell phone pings are not science it's a very technical process million things have to happen every time you touch your phone and I just don't believe in it

He said the expert used the data transmission with the towers to map a route. That means they got tower dumps and each time his phone connected to a tower they were able to plot that map his movement. Also he did not say he went back past Wal-Mart, he said his phone went back to the same location on the other side of the bridge (in East Tawakoni he said in an earlier interview). I know I have a tendency to read into what is said something that is already in my mind, like imagining him taking the same path back but I have made an effort to only look at what exactly he says and see what isn't said and it wasn't said that he took the same path back or past Wal-Mart. (Sorry to be wordy but it's what I have been thinking about in this case.)
What stood out to me a few days ago regarding the speed and route I will say again just for the heck of it. SM said it left at 2:30 and went back to the same location and last pinged there at 5:50 traveling 4.2 mph. That is 18 miles by road. The math doesn't work unless it wasn't by road. I already posted this but I will throw it out again. I'm not sure how far the orange line is from the blue but I bet a ping analysis can't tell the exact location that close. 20180623_105003.png

Sorry to post again. There is one other scenario that works for me. When his phone left at 2:30 it wasnt at his home. SM doesn't say it left his home so there's that. So it could have traveled by road back to the same location at 4.2 mph by road if it only traveled 14 miles. The problem there is back to what possibly travels those county roads and highways at 4.2 mph, which also happens to be the normal speed for a trolling motor.

It wouldn’t hurt to have another pair of eyes looking at this video aside from HCSO. They just can’t be trusted when it comes to this case imo. YKWIM?
I would bet you a dollar to a doughnut some of those other eyes have been looking at it ;)

I do admit to being disappointed a lot more things weren't discussed, like you said. Much of that is the short-coming of an hour-long TV show. I honestly don't think SM dictated what they covered and what they didn't. I thought the family had quite a bit of input into the making of the show, but I could well be wrong. I'm sure the producers used their own editorial discretion, for bad or for good. Maybe Klein didn't want to be interviewed for this show at that time, or maybe he was and they didn't show it. Don't know. I still am glad for that episode because I just added all the info from that to the other show and the video interviews earlier of Meeks and Klein. It also had the effect of ramping up discussion and brainstorming, and getting a wider public audience.

What? Am I a cell phone expert? Did I claim to be? I was giving the things that trip ME up for the boat theory. My theory is a theory, just like yours and the other 5000 people following this thread. It's all opinion. Only in the end will we know which one happened to be right. And I will be glad to know, and couldn't care less if mine was right. Mine is only used as a tool to sleuth until I no longer have to because the answers are known.

On this video right here at 5:40, they show a phone track from the house to the bridge. That is what I was talking about. Is there something that shows a track of a boat that has been published? Ok, then. Then I guess we are still looking and thinking and speculating, but I have a little something concrete that is what keeps me away from the boat theory at the moment.

Watch where you land. Some of us use both logic and facts, as well as a respect for other people's opinions, when we post. ;) To each, his own.

Edit. Also, in brainscratch with klein, right after the 30 minute mark, he says he had gps signal analyzed. If they have gps, they know the track.

Edit #2- I try not to listen the the sherriffs info cause I don't trust his word.

My goodness, we are defensive, I was joking with you. I can't even read your entire post. I do use logic, intelligence, facts as reported.

Be well

I'm not defensive. I'm giving some sources for what I was talking about. I'm not real sure what's happening here. I'm kinda confused by it all. You be well, too.

(As I understand it there is no delete button. However, you can delete all your text and write delete.)

I want to add something. I might have sounded defensive, but I didn't intend to. I have had a really weird and trying day, so I was planning on reading and not posting tonight. But I was addressed, so responded, probably not in my usual way. Anyway, the points still stand of why I'm on that theory for the moment, but my delivery might have been off and for that, I apologize.

I'm glad you posted this video. Someone said something about showing the route on the road and I thought they meant Disappeared and couldn't find it but now I have it. I hadn't watched this since it first came out. But even though this was his route it does not turn me away from his phone being transported by a trolling motor on a boat. Because this was his route that morning as SM said that the expert knows he came through Quinlan and across the bridge and stopped for 10-15 minutes. But I don't think it could have also been his route or his phone's route that afternoon for the reason I have already stated, the speed doesn't work over 18 miles. I believe he disappeared from East Tawakoni that morning and never returned home. That's the only way all the seemingly conflicting stuff can add up to me.
