I'm glad you posted this video. Someone said something about showing the route on the road and I thought they meant Disappeared and couldn't find it but now I have it. I hadn't watched this since it first came out. But even though this was his route it does not turn me away from his phone being transported by a trolling motor on a boat. Because this was his route that morning as SM said that the expert knows he came through Quinlan and across the bridge and stopped for 10-15 minutes. But I don't think it could have also been his route or his phone's route that afternoon for the reason I have already stated, the speed doesn't work over 18 miles. I believe he disappeared from East Tawakoni that morning and never returned home. That's the only way all the seemingly conflicting stuff can add up to me.
Yeah, I'm with you. Given what we have, nothing can be put together to make complete sense. So at least 1 or 2 things are wrong. Which ones? Who knows, for now. But all of the "extra" pieces that don't belong sure make it difficult! I'm so ready for this poor guy to be found!

Actually, that brings me to another topic.... does anyone else find it odd that family have gone quiet? I'm sure they now know what the Court pit down as the cause of death for the certificate. There always seems like there is some big huge elephant standing on our leash keeping our sleuth progress to a minimum, but anyone who knows what that elephant is doing here won't say! Why not tell all.and let the crowd help find him! It's been too long.

Ps... my phone is the WORST to try to type on!

I'm not defensive. I'm giving some sources for what I was talking about. I'm not real sure what's happening here. I'm kinda confused by it all. You be well, too.
Thank you. ;P

What are you thinking the elephant may be?

I definitely think there's an elephant in HCSO, perhaps not even directly involving this case, but there's some reason they're acting the way they are.

I would like to think that stupid statements like the bike are intentional. Either to give folks a false sense of security or to tell them what they know in a way that only the killers would react. And I think there must truly be embarrassment at work there too. I mean they didn't get phone data for 7 months! Shame on them. They didn't test the blood for any other chemicals or toxicology even or it wouldn't have taken a splatter expert to suspect anticoagulant. Months later they came back for a control swab so it could actually be tested like it should have been on day one. In sure that will hold up in court. Not. He was no friend of MC, not when it mattered.

Dear Mpnola,

Your posts are so full with such deep compassion and insight. I always look forward to them.

Perhaps the elephant is that something has come up that will progress this case.

I'd like to think this anyway.

If the yellow line is the route you are thinking the boat went, I have a problem with that. If I were transporting a dead body in my boat, I certainly would not take this route along the shore. Why would someone in a boat go along the shoreline? It is my opinion the boat would have taken a more direct route across the lake. And as big as Tawakoni is, why dump his body near the bridge? That bridge is well traveled and they could have been seen. I guess I could imagine someone trolling the shoreline with his phone, but that seems a little far-fetched just to get rid of a phone.

I am not ruling out a boat, but I sure feel that is very unlikely.

I still am going with someone taking a jog and tossing the phone over the bridge. I think someone took the body somewhere else and possibly returned to get the phone and toss it. Or he really did commit suicide (which I tend to think not, but you never really know in these cases) and they just haven't found his body.

This man seems to have been so kind and loving, I just cannot see him committing suicide in a way where his body could not be found. JMO

Anyone want to speculate on why they titled the Disappeared episode "Moment of Truth"?
It must be meaningful to SM that his phone last pinged at exactly the same time she texted him. That's something he has known from the start.

I concur 100% it could mean, a few different things, depending on the process of naming the episode.

I'm going with boat with no body but with his phone but this only works for people who believe he wasn't harmed in the garage.

I have found interesting info on HCSO before Meeks was the man but all articles I have found would hardly qualify as msm more conspiracy sites

He could have been harmed in the garage and someone still took his phone by boat......I just don't see that happening myself. There are so many things this could be and unfortunately, without a body, we may never know.

I think there is a history of cover-ups and corruption in the HCSO long before SM took office. At least it has been implied in this thread from the very beginning.

I am not sure that is what is going on here, but I truly believe something illegal took place. You would think the sheriff's office would be able to realize a bike can't hardly stay upright at 4.2 miles per hour! If not, they aren't very smart......and apparently the 2 shows who "investigated" and reported this story didn't know or question that either!

I apologize...My quotes are not showing up in my reply. Not sure why! I am quoting the posts above by steverogers. Sorry!

I'm thinking he may have been harmed on his way home from WalMart. Blood was drawn and the body was either buried there or taken
into "the hills." But who would drive anywhere with a body in their pickup?
Were the vials of blood then taken back to MC's place and dripped onto the garage floor and onto the dowel?
Who would have driven MC's truck back and leave $ on the console? Or was the money there to make it look like no one but MC drove the truck?
Was a trolling boat launched just down the road from his house and someone took a slow trip to the bridge with MC's phone in their pocket? And then toss it overboard?
I may be over thinking this but I wonder if those who harmed MC overthought it as well.
It bothers me his hat was left in the shop. I don't think MC would go anywhere (even if it was to commit suicide) without his hat.

Maybe it wasn't in a pickup? Could have used an SUV or car. Klein seems to think he was injured in the shop, dog-walked to a tarp, wrapped up, hauled away to a deer lease "up in the hills"! Or a pick up with a cover over the bed?

I agree 100% with all of this.I don't think no one drove his body to Oklahoma. It's there somewhere why risk the drive? The money wasn't taken just like you said then there would have been more attention paid to the truck. You think they would have moved the seat back. The boat and phone correct. It was tossed when he got the signal.I have no idea why they would have left the hat.

with all due respect to Klein I have watched that several times and disagree with almost everything he says but that was awhile ago and he could just be working everybody with what he knows.

I think they left the hat to make it look like a suicide (if he was murdered).

Or if he committed suicide, he left the hat for his family?

I can see it both ways myself, just don't want to consider suicide. I followed the Leanne Bearden case and suicide was never ever mentioned or expected in her case and that is what happened. It taught me we don't always know everything about most cases. LE and family keep a lot close. I think her family felt she might have harmed herself, but never let on. It was a total surprise to me.

I just don't "feel" it in this case, but know it is a strong possibility. I am keeping my mind open for anything that makes sense to me. I just don't see a boat being involved myself, but then I am not great at this sleuthing! LOL

I don't think they had his body in a boat either. I think they may have been in one of those small fishing floats that fits in the back of a pickup using only a trolling motor with his phone as a way to divert the investigation to search for him in the lake. I think they created an abduction scene to look like someone took him and in some way took his body into the lake so that's where search efforts would be concentrated. I think if she was smart enough to turn her phone off, that his phone was left on is telling of their intention to deceive. I don't think his body or his phone is in the lake.
