I'll say a prayer that the Chambers' family members can spend time with their loved ones this Labor Day weekend, gather strength for future days, and rest for their weary minds. Papaw, please come home.

We are almost to the 18 month missing mark . I pray that things are going on in the back ground. Maybe there will be some media coverage or maybe a vigil. I know from a FB announcement there is going to be a vigil for Hunt County Missing. Praying for the Chambers family

Glad you popped in, Midge, and thanks to all who keep Papaw's thread going. I've been a little MIA lately due to various family events, but think about MC daily.

Still hoping for some kind of an update soon, and/or a follow-up news item or article by an investigative reporter. Ideas? And, if anyone here can come up with another angle to spur discussion, have at it :) BringPapawHome#

Thanks Tripod. My own life is a sh*tshow right now, so I have very little time to sleuth. :(
I do try to check this thread at least every few days though. It is my #1 case at heart.
As you said, I hope we hear something very soon, but it doesn't seem there is much interest now that the TV programs have led many to think MC rode a bicycle to his suicide off a bridge. UGH! GRR!
Also, like you said, I'd love if someone could come up with ANY new tidbit of info, any new angle to look at this mystery.
I believe the family knows a ton more info that we don't and that is ok. I just hope it eventually produces an explanation and even more, produces Michael Chambers, dead or alive.
I don't even know what I think anymore about this...

yes the the tv shows really hampered this case.Even stuff I have gotten from inviduals is drying up.I'm just going start throwing it all on FB before long.

I would love to see the Buried podcast take on this case. Perhaps we should message him about it?

Maybe when he's done with Carey's podcast. There is a ton of podcast covering true crime in Texas but I haven't found one reply when asked about it a lot haven't even heard of it.

I don't mind helping contact them if you want to link their sites.

I agree wholeheartedly, Midge. I also think the family knows quite a lot more, but perhaps what they do know has led them to different opinions. That's ok, too! I still have faint hopes that a VI or 2 might pop back in some day, but if at the very least they do, hope it's with news that can lead to some resolution.

Papaw is my #1 case, too, and I still think about it as I lay my head down every night. Lately my thoughts only go round and round with the same things :(

Hope your sh--show calms down soon- take care of yourself and "see" you before long.

Somewhere here in the depths of my desk, lol, I have a long, long list of media (podcasts, TV shows, etc.) that I personally contacted some time ago. It HAS been a while though, and at the time Papaw's case hadn't really gained any national attention via the Disappeared show, etc.
It might be worth a try to give it another go. I don't believe it will 'solve' the case, but as we had hoped before it might bring attention to the case and perhaps some discomfort to HCSO.
I did a very quick Google search just now of True Crime Podcast Lists and found a LOT of results.
* A word of advice though! If private messaging the Podcasts' Facebook pages, be aware that you will be thrown in "Message Jail" by FB if you send too many PM's in a short time. I was timed out of my messenger (except for people on my friends list) for a while because I had sent too many messages to these pages, news stations, etc. that I wasn't 'friends' with.
I'm not sure what a better option is except perhaps to email or heck, phone if they give a phone number.

Is there still a PI involved in the case?

yep spoke to him today.
Can you shed a little light on why and what you spoke to him about? Any new news? What direction are they heading in? Thanks!

I'm not sure where they are heading or what Suzy thinks happened to Mike.I call Mr.Klein to make sure he got the tip I gave them a couple weeks ago.I had assumed to female that told Mr.Dunn was picked up with him since I heard she was arrested also but she was arrested a couple months later in a neighboring county.I told them hold on a minute the guy I suspect was arrested in the same county as her for the same charge 5 days later. They sent it that night.Well I had something else to tell him I was told.
