Found Safe TX - Michele Roode Boyd, 41, San Antonio, 24 Nov 2016 *Arrest*

Her initial disappearance was not suspicious of foul play and hopefully it didn't turn into that. Seems that the disappearance was purposely and staged but I don't understand abandoning her daughter.

I live near kerrville and when I saw this in the local paper I thought about Michelle ... but this park is a known place for the homeless to sleep. Kerrville homeless shelter will only allow them to stay 3 nights every 3 months. Local thought is it is likely one of the homeless. Which I guess she might be homeless.

I wonder if homeless shelters give any info, like whether or not they had been seen.

I don’t think so ... but I know the director so it wouldn’t hurt to ask. But I doubt she used her real name if she has stayed at any shelters

The director of who?

There are many homeless shelters. It's my understanding that the Mission shelter has a 3 month wait list, which would have been met. I will try calling some places. Seems that someone looking like Michele was spotted near route 281 near Jones/Waltzberger.

Not really sure; however, one of the things I think about is that early on in her missing stage, a few of family and friends received a Face Book friend request from someone by the name of Sarah something with Michele's picture and then poof it was gone. I don't know if my post is a good thing or bad thing. I just think that Michele received a breaking point. Things were particularly easy. She had a couple of marriages, she was a nurse, which can be very overwhelming. Seems that all the responsibility was on Michele. She was the sole provider for her family and she had step children and her husband didn't work. So then the financial difficulties. It's just too much! She probably couldn't do it anymore or just didn't see a way out. Things were crumbling. I found out that it's not that easy to get into a homeless shelter. You have to meet criteria and have ID. So she left her ID behind. Perhaps she has new ID. Perhaps she is able to access the internet from time to time under someone else's name. And then there is the picture that was just posted on her page. Of course it's hard to see clearly but it is her height and build. I hope that she is out there and that she does have access and that she will come to realize that she can start over. And if she has chosen this type of life, I pray that she at least let's her mother or brother know that she is alive. It doesn't have to be this way. I was also reminded by someone that I spoke to that she has rights and she is free to make her own decisions.

BBM. Which page do you mean? Her Facebook or the Help Find Michele group page?

I do hope you are right and she is alive. Perhaps she really had a psychotic break and doesn't know who she is-- in which case she would not be reading this thread. I just can't see her leaving her daughter at a store if she is in her right mind and knows who she is. I know mothers do abandon their children sometimes but it just doesn't make sense she would leave her out in public where she could have been harmed rather than leave her safely at home. If she was stressed and wanted to start a new life under a new identity it doesn't seem to be a very well planned departure. She could have sent her daughter to Thanksgiving dinner with her husband and left while her daughter was safely in the care of relatives. She could have asked someone to watch her daughter (like her brother or his family) and then left. To leave on Thanksgiving Day, and in such a disorganized way, points to either a mental break she didn't know was about to happen or an otherwise unplanned departure (i.e. someone harmed her). JMO.

I agree with you, it's mind boggling. The pictures are posted to the "Help Find Michele Roode Boyd" page. On my cell phone it's easier to magnify the picture. Can't see any real facial detail but it seems like under that hoody it might be reddish hair.

Thank you, blaf2! I understand your theory and opinion, but why not go to Florida? I just don't understand where you can go with absolutely nothing but the clothes on your back, and be gone for over a year, without even giving a phone call. Her husband works in IT. Maybe that could explain an oddity on FB? I'm just thinking out loud.
Gardener, I agree with you. Michele was just on the phone with her mom before she disappeared. She had mentioned she didn't want to go to the Thanksgiving at her husband's brothers house. I wonder who was there. Why would her daughter not have just gone with Seth, if other kids were there? I just keep going back to when Anne Christine went missing around the same time, in League City, and my unwavering thoughts became the unfortunate outcome, and I can't help but feel the same way with Michele. I hope I'm very wrong, but for the life of me, I can't see a different theory.

Maybe she couldn't find a rational way out and maybe she had to make it look like she had a breakdown. I'm suspicious of everything, leaving no stone un turned as far as what could have happened.

I wish I could have more of an open mind with other possibilities that might have happened to Michele. I think it's wonderful that you still can see other alternatives, especially after a year of Michele being gone.

Thanks KelsK, I think we are on the same page as far as our theories on Michele's disappearance. One correction to the above, however, her husband was unemployed until after she disappeared when he went back to working for a pizza place (Pizza Hut, I think? This info was in the Florida opinion writers articles so it's not sleuthing him). The person who works in IT was a brother in California, I believe-- not the one quoted in the articles, another one. I think that is why they thought she might try to go to California? IDK.
Seth Boyd has been delivering pizzas to make ends meet, raising his daughter and trying to find his wife.

I finally got a chance to check the Help Find Michele facebook. I believe we are allowed to link to it since it is run by her family: https://www.facebook.com/groups/100...dti=1001279273333658&hc_location=group_dialog

It's so hard to tell anything from those pictures. There is another person with the woman-- a guy with a baseball hat looks like he is talking to her. At the very least, they should be able to track him down and show a picture of Michele to ask if he knows her. Hopefully someone will check it out. I notice that this was posted on Dec 16th and no family members have responded yet. :(

Seth has a Linkedin profile, with some work experience in IT, security to be exact. She has no brothers living in CA. It was put out there as a possibility that she went there to find the author/s of Iterating Grace. I am very stuck now on the picture that was posted on her "missing" page! I think it could be her.
If you go to Michele's FB page and find the Missing post made by Seth there is comment under that made on February 27th, 2017 at 5:17pm. That is what is of interest.

I don’t see anything in the pics other than it MIGHT be a female.. slender build. But I hope someone checks out the lead. There is always that chance it might be her.

The director of who?

The director at the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in Kerrville.
Sorry I didn’t quote the person I was responding to.
I did talk to a staff member at the Homeless shelter yesterday who said they did not recognize her picture.

I just messaged the author of the two TCPALM articles, Mr. Reisman. Hope to hear from soon. For those who may not be familiar, here are the articles:

Thank you! I hope you hear back soon. Are you planning on asking specific questions, or what are you thinking?
