Mickal Minter and I have never met face to face, but maybe once. I did not know him in person, but I feel like I have known him for years- because his mother, Ericka Minter, has been a close friend to me. I only know Mickal from stories told, through the eyes of a mother, with unconditional love for her child. We all have struggles in life, its kindness that gets us through them, this is what Ericka has taught me, just from watching her example as a mother, wife and grandmother.
We would always talk about the various personality traits of our children, by birth order- and Mickal was her FIRST BORN SON. The apple of her eye. The one that kept her on her toes. They had a close relationship, the kind where you tell each other- even the hardest things. That unconditional TOUGH LOVE. There is NO WAY that Mickal would not be in contact with his mother, Ericka, because she was his LIFELINE, always. Even when they would have words, it never lasted long. They always forgave each other and proceeded in their close relationship. Even when Mickal got into some trouble and ended up in jail, Ericka showed him tough, but unconditional love, by taking custody of his two sons when he was in need. See, Mickal moved to Texas, to get a new start in life. A sober life. To make new roots, where he could raise his two boys. He loved his children. And there is no way he would just disappear without reaching out to Ericka and the kids. SOMETHING ELSE HAPPENED. He has to be incapacitated by some means if he has not been heard from.
It's coming up on 4 months, with no investigation or attention given to the case. Everything that has been done to find Mickal has been privately done. He was last seen with his girlfriend, former big shot basketball star for the College Park Cavaliers, Candace Goady. She is refusing to answer any questions or participate in the investigation of Mickals case. They were together, on and off, for 2 years. You would think, that even if they broke up on bad terms, she would still want to know if he is ok. She always did before. Something is not right about that. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that her brother works for the Sheriff’s office. Or because her parents have money and work for the City school system... Someone needs to investigate her contacts, ex-boyfriend, in the Tango Gang. She was known to be irritable and volatile at times. She definitely has something to hide.
Mickal is being dismissed as a transient who does not deserve to be located. I assure you, that is not the case.
I was hoping we could get some help with this case-- the family does not have money, his mother has heart conditions and is raising his two young sons in his absence. His kids deserve answers, they miss video chatting with him.
