817-514-5897.

This is the number i was given from AT&T info for non-emergency Watauga Police Dept. and it is the same number listed on the 'you report'.

I don't get it. But, I do trust WPD saying they are not "aware" of this.

Maybe someone should add lisa on myspace or email her?

It simply doesnt make sense that someone would post the missing child alert on youreport or w/e it is BEFORE reporting it to the police, especially when their 14 year old niece and 11 year old daughter were apparently missing for 2 days already

And if it is true, wouldn't there be much more media press? aunt/mom would be
asking for more coverage. She would have posted more details.
i.e., backpacks and coats were gone, cell phones gone.... or the opposite...everything was left in the house... girls are in their pj's.
Although,
the pics look like school pictures.

Frustrating.

While this doesn't help out re establishing if the girls are missing, obit #002443 does relate to the family......family has been through a number of hardships it seems.

Also, I thought my initial post was for a legitimate news report so apologize for my mistake....am wondering if there maybe another family member involved and the younews posting was an attempt to scare someone into returning the girls.

Or the girls did it themselves? IMO.
I don't know if I believe that for sure or not. Yet.

I was wondering that myself. It does seem plausible. Whoever did it knew the aunt's email, in any case

I logged on last night and was very surprised to see this thread as I am local (within five miles) and have heard nothing about these girls being missing.

It must be, because i talked to dispatch and he even checked with officials. Trust me, if 2 girls were missing in the DFW area, we would have heard about it immediately, with or without an Amber Alert. As we all know, the Amber Alert started from Amber Hagerman from Arlington, Tx ( same DFW area ).

I hope the police take the time to call their home. Talk to their parent/guardian.
See if the girls are there. Chat with them if they are.

The girls were last seen sitting on the sofa watching t.v. just after new years. (12:20)a.m. on the 1st.
A missing persons report has been made with the Watauga Police dept.

Sorry for lack of details...no other news reports could be found.

Update - this younews story has now been removed from the wfaa web site, and there is nothing else to be found. Thankfully, these 2 girls are most likely safe at home.
