Great news!

Also from the above link:

""We would like to thank the Fort Worth Police Department and all the detectives involved in Molly's case," the family said in a statement to WFAA. "We know that they were very diligent in their investigation which led to the arrest. This has been an overwhelmingly trying time for our family and we are confident that justice will be served for Molly.""

Other news outlets are posting his name, as well. Ft Worth Star-Telegram and Dallas News. Here is his Facebook:

He lives in Plano, which hits close to home. Apparently, he went to University of Arkansas, which is where Molly spent time. Molly's parents say she knew him slightly (per @alicebarrnbc5 on twitter).

Hmmm, Plano? Wonder if there's connection to the girl found in Lake Ray Hubbard?

One of his friends on Facebook is adamant he didn't do it, and said something like, "all they have is his DNA"

Sad, but I had a feeling this is how it would turn out. Someone she knew, most likely intimately. Maybe she was ending the relationship and he disagreed... with her decision.

Praying for justice for Molly.

From comments from people who knew him, everyone seems sincerely shocked that he would do this. Of course lots of people are making this about race. But as someone pointed out, Molly's FB photos seem to indicate she tended to date African American guys. This doesn't seem to be a case of pinning guilt on the first black guy they could find. So maybe he liked her and she didn't like him and something happened. Or maybe they were dating and his DNA is there but someone else did it? The homeowners who she rented the garage apt from have recently installed cameras as of this weekend so I imagine there wasn't video of any kind. Someone also mentioned he was Muslim? But it wasn't someone that professed to know him.
This girl seemed so happy and funny and vibrant. Wholesome. I didn't know her but it haunts me. I hope justice is served and the right person is held accountable.

Just saw this: "Police said the killing was not a random crime, but that Kimbro and Matheson were not dating. "

I'm so relieved there's been an arrest in this case.

Matheson's parents told KXAS-TV that their daughter "sort of" knew Kimbro from when she was a student at the University of Arkansas, where she was a student until 2015.

Kimbro listed himself as a former student at the University of Arkansas, but the Dallas Morning News said the school has no record of him being enrolled. He is being held at the Mansfield Jail on $500,000 bond.

The arrest on Thursday came two days after family members buried Matheson.

“We know Molly can’t come back to us,” her father, David Matheson, said at the service. “But we know she lives in heaven and her love fills this room.

“We would like to thank the Fort Worth Police Department and all the detectives involved in Molly’s case,” her father David Matheson said Friday in a statement. “We know that they were very diligent in their investigation which led to the arrest. This has been an overwhelmingly trying time for our family and we are confident that justice will be served for Molly.”

U.S. Marshals were sent to arrest Kimbro at his father’s house in Dallas. He was taken into custody at Mansfield Jail.

Police named Reginald Kimbro as the suspect they arrested in the case of Molly Matheson. Kimbro is 23 years old. Police are asking anyone with information on criminal activities involving Kimbro to contact them.

Additional TCU police patrols were dispatched near campus since April 10 and will resume regular patrol starting April 30, according to an email from TCU Police Detective Robert Rangel.
