According to the arrest warrant, Mungia took her son to LBJ Hospital on May 22 for a possible broken left arm. A nurse discovered that, in addition to the broken arm, the boy also had numerous bruises on his body, a healing burn wound on his left hand, a burn wound on his tongue and lacerations on top of his head, the complaint stated.

A nurse and doctor who examined the boy on May 31 said that he attributed most of his injuries to his mother and said he was afraid of her.

He said his mother twisted his arm and broke it but told him to lie when he went to the hospital and say the injury happened when he fell off a table, the arrest warrant states.

The little boy is 6-years-old

He said Mungia heated a spoon on the stove until it was red hot and then put it on his tongue, the complaint states. She also burned his left hand with the hot spoon and held his hand to the hot stove, he said. Later, she put salt on the boy's burned tongue, according to court documents.

Sounds like the father is involved, too.

The boy had bruises everywhere, including a healing burn wound on his left hand, lacerations on top of his scalp and a burn wound on his tongue. Child Protective Services were then called out to investigate, and the explanations for the bruises were shocking.

In regards to the scalp injury, the little boy said his mom hit him with a screwdriver. When asked about bruises to his chin and neck, the boy said his mother had grabbed and choked him, according to court documents. He also added that his mother would “tie up his arms and legs and his dad would cover his mouth with a sock.”

He also added that his mother would “tie up his arms and legs and his dad would cover his mouth with a sock.” The boy had a linear mark on his right arm which he said was a result of his mom cutting him with a knife. He also said his mom would punish him by making him face the wall and would beat him with a cable.

Between then and July 11th was he returned home to live with his parents? I sure hope not, but knowing the history of CPS I wouldn't be surprised. Praying this boy gets the help he needs. I wonder if the "parent" will be charged.
