An article from 25 December 2025, mostly a recap of what happened:
Hard to believe its been over 3 years already. I hope Kaitlin is settling in in prison. She only has 86 years, 5 months, and 25 days left to go. Enjoy!

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The murder conviction of Kaitlin Armstrong for the death of professional cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson was upheld by the Texas Third Court of Appeals, the court announced Friday. This means Armstrong will continue to serve the 90-year sentence ordered by the judge in Nov. 2023.

The court had three issues to decide, including whether Armstrong’s statement to law enforcement should have been suppressed. However, the court decided that it would deny all three grounds.

SMH... On what basis did this woman think her conviction would be vacated, and she'd be granted a new trial? The only rights violated here belonged to Mo!

The same woman who thought she'd be retiring in Costa Rica

People sentenced to long prison terms often try to get their convictions reviewed. Their attorneys are happy to get paid more to try, IMO.
Shrug.

She very nearly got away though.

New documentary about Mo is out on Netflix. It’s done really well. I even teared up a few times. Colin also speaks very briefly at the end.

Hard to believe we are coming up on the 4th anniversary of this tragedy!

Yes me too, about tearing up! I loved seeing all the photos/videos of Mo growing up and hearing her family share stories of her. I also loved seeing Cash (who is still living in the same apartment -- and her explanation of why was so touching).

Two things Mo's mom said have stayed in my mind. First she said when Mo was really young, she had a feeling she'd lose her one day (I'm paraphrasing but a mother's intuition is amazing). Secondly when she was informed of Mo's murder, she immediately told police Kaitlin Armstrong did it (because that was the only person she knew of who didn't like Mo).

As for Colin, I was surprised he finally somewhat acknowledged his role in this. If he had expressed the below sentiments initially, he probably would have got a lot more support and sympathy from the public. Lastly his small dog is adorable and for sure is a better companion than KA.

Strickland didn't elaborate on the murder or his life since, but he admitted that he "regret everything."

"I regret everything," he said. "I'm ashamed of everything I've done. I would have never f---ing started bike racing, not ever met Kaitlin, not ever met Moriah, not ever spoke with Moriah in private — every single thing, because it all led to this."

Great documentary and very sensitive to victims.
I am glad Strickland spoke, but his words still rang very narcissistically to me. He said he never would’ve started racing… which was a weird way of side stepping the issue, which was that he knew he was causing emotional harm to Kaitlyn and didn’t stop.
The distress he caused, and the drama he caused was obviously a contributing factor and I would’ve liked for him to own having been more of a creep.

Obviously Mo is gone because of KA, but Strickland still doesn’t say he’s sorry quite forcefully enough, IMHO. Just my $.02

Well, that's a narcissist for you.

Mo was a decade younger than Colin and Kaitlin, yet the most mature one. It was her poor luck, crossing paths with Colin, because they would not have stayed in the same circles for long.

Of Kaitlin I don’t want to even talk. She is in quite a hellhole, it seems.

I used to feel sorry for Colin Strickland. A true self-made man, gifted in so many areas. And I disagree with his words. He should have started biking, and he fully deserves his medals.

What he didn’t say was that at thirty-five one should make a concerted effort to stop lying. Colin must have seen Kaitlin descending into her specific madness for quite a while, and yet he bought her a gun, used her to jump-start his business, bluffed and mostly, deepened her inner split with his yo-yo strategy. I don’t see either a “romantic relationship” or “inertia” here. His story is that of a lying manipulator. And the person to pay for his cute-guy’s hubris and descending star’s arrogance was Mo. RIP, Mo, to work so hard all her life, only to be killed one week short of her twenty-sixth’s birthday.

CS didn’t pull the trigger, that’s all on KA.
But he should be ashamed for being manipulative, though it sounds like his biggest concern is still himself.

He regrets it all, every single thing, “because it all led to this”.
Felt to me like his main concern was that it all led to this happening TO HIM.

And what was up with him carrying his dog into court? Was it his support animal?
Cute dog. Deserves a better owner.

I saw a completely broken shell when he spoke at the end. I truly think he was friends with MO and they had a lot in common. Nothing more. He looks old and broken to me. He will never be the same. As for Kaitlin she had it all, money, brains and absolutely beautiful. What a stupid girl. For what? 90 years in a cage and she still doesn't get the guy.

Every now and then I like to remind myself of Kaitlin's release date. Enjoy.

Bringing his dog was manipulation. He wanted people to see him as a suffering victim. ‘He is so traumatized that he can’t be in public without his dog’. If anyone needed an ESA it was MO’s family.

Gross, that was such a turn off. He is a manipulative person. He was getting all of his props in place, staging his daily presence in court. Pure drama.
