Could be a deadly mistake but the patient in this case was an undercover officer.
edit to add another article about their activities

Public service announcement about the dangers of attempting to save money by getting amateur cosmetic procedures done by amateurs. Also, never be your own cosmetic doctor or aesthetician.
I'm guessing they didn't show their own photos as part of any advertising they did for their services.

See next post for link to article. Thanks ifindeout

Link didn't work even when repaired. @NoSpoonFeeding, I located your story on Fox 26 in Houston:
HOUSTON - One of the women accused of providing illegal butt injections appeared in a Harris County courtroom on Friday. For the first time, 56-year-old Consuelo Dal Bo spoke on why she administered the injections without a license.

[...]

The assistant district attorney of consumer fraud said Dal Bo’s arrest is part of a larger ongoing investigation to find the people bringing unknown injectable substances into the country. But despite the charges against her, Consuelo Dal Bo says she has a passion for practicing medicine even while unlicensed.

[...]

"I really want to be a doctor," said Consuelo Dal Bo outside the courtroom.

On Wednesday, Consuelo and her 18-year-old daughter, Isabella Dal Bo were arrested for unlawfully practicing medicine without a license during a sting in Cypress. Consuelo is facing an additional charge for delivering the controlled substance, Xanax, to an undercover cop.

ETA: the link in the first paragraph to Thursday's story has a slideshow of the suspects.

Does anyone else here watch the TV or YouTube show "Botched", where two surgeons, one of them the brother of the late Quiet Riot singer Kevin DuBrow, revise bad plastic surgery? They deal with lots of the aftereffects of people who do this sort of thing.

Unfortunately, they didn't get these women arrested soon enough, they did some injections in Texas, it's hard to believe people are still taking these chances.

I have watched that show many times, there was a patient who had injections in the face and they could not help her, it was awful. The arrested mother appears to be headed for the same fate. Those doctors also could not help one woman who had the injections in her tush. I saw the surgery of another, it certainly looked improved but still unsightly.
I wonder if mom and daughter did each other's rears. Looks like they did their own lips and faces.

In 2011 there was a 20-year-old woman from London who died from such injections. She flew to Philadelphia and had the procedure done at a hotel near the airport by an unqualified (and mysterious) woman who was later convicted of the crime and sentenced to hard time.

What's even worse is when licensed physicians, who should know better, do things like this.

I read about a surgeon who thought he was going to revise some scar tissue around a woman's implants, and found out that the "implants" were kitchen sponges in a Ziploc bag!
