If she did kill her girls, I find it incredibly fascinating that she left her son alive. I can follow the twisted logic of a mother who is in such a dark place that she believes her kids are better off dead with her, but to leave one behind? So I’ve tried to think of a different line of reasoning that would make sense to a mother willing to kill two of her three kids and leave the third unharmed. Perhaps simply because he wasn’t there? If it was a spontaneous, impulsive act, I suppose that could make sense.

I assumed her son was at college so not in the house?

Question. I have read of NO’s son referred to as her “college aged son,” but I don’t recall reading that he is attending college. Does anyone have a link that indicates he is in school? Thanks in advance.

Now I believe he has money. Three such lawyers!

I just remembered Assia Wevill. She was the beautiful mistress of handsome womanizing poet Ted Hughes (whose poet wife Sylvia Plath committed suicide by gas, previously):

“On 23 March 1969, Assia gassed herself and four-year-old Shura in their London home on 3 Okeover Manor, Clapham Common. She had first sealed the kitchen door and window, then dissolved sleeping pills in a glass of water, chased with whiskey, and then turned on the gas stove. She and Shura were found by the family's German au-pair, Else Ludwig, lying together on a mattress in the kitchen.”

By all accounts, Assia was an extremely devoted and loving mother. She and Ted were having relationship issues.
Haven't heard of this tragic story, but I can imagine what happened - 1. She was a poetic type who thought suicide was romantic, but the deaths could not look messy and horrible, thus gassing 2. She might think killing the daughter would hurt her husband.

Don't think the above apply to this case...?

.

Just to clarify, that's Alexa's dad (older daughter). I'm not familiar with any photos or information from London's dad (the younger daughter).
No I'm speaking of the younger daughter.

I can also use imagination to explain why Nichol did not post photos of herself with her kids.

She might feel uncomfortable about the public, including her clients, seeing her having three not too little kids at her age, and judge her about her relationships. And she's right, wasn't she?

I’m wondering... if a dad were to murder his children and then kill himself, would there be such a push to implicate his girlfriend that was staying elsewhere at the time? This “male privilege” thing is a double edged sword.

I have long ago come to accept what some moms are very capable of doing.

I have read about and watched true crime cases about mothers who kill for over three decades.

Sadly, I am no longer shocked when I see it has happened once again.

ID and the OWN channel runs night and day showing what many females have been capable of doing.

Tragically neither channel ever runs out of new true crime cases to show. They have devoted series solely pertaining to women and women who team up together with either another female or a male who have done the most gruesome murders together.

It also painfully shows many have gotten away with murder or were able to plea their premeditated murders down to mere manslaughter.

Imo

Women are as capable of evil as men.
No profession is immune from evil, either.
It’s so weird for someone to say “but she’s a nurse/mom/dentist/photog/model”, it simply makes no dif’.

If CW is in fact proven innocent (as many on this thread believe will be the case), what do we think the likelihood is of him suing the people that have been publicly calling him an abuser and a murder and claiming to have personal information to prove it (assuming these ppl can’t actually prove said accusations and are blowing smoke)? Note: I hope this kind of question is allowed on WS...if not, my apologies.

I just think that in today’s world of SM, people have to be held accountable for what they post. Even though you’re behind a computer screen, your words are still potentially impactful. I have read some of the worst accusations possible against CW, but every single one is based on something they were told/heard, etc. There has to be an initial source to these allegations yet I haven’t seen ONE person name or own being the source. We should all be afraid if this kind of behavior/Lynch mob mentality is tolerated and goes unpunished. It could be any one of us subjected to online torture without evidence at this rate. Again, all IMO and if this isn’t allowed, sorry/delete.

Not knowing him, it's hard to say. Personally, I wouldn't. While I agree that people should be accountable for what they say, I think in this case I would just want the circus to be over so that I could grieve their loss in peace.

Yes, that was my initial thought as well. But as ugly as it’s gotten and how poorly the Sheriff has handled the media, I wonder if he HAS to take some sort of legal action in order to ever have a chance at a normal life again? If not the suspicion will never end (and it likely won’t end even with a lawsuit) and it might give truth to the allegations if he doesn’t legally contest them. But yes, this would only drag out the gossip. He was completely robbed of his ability to mourn in peace...if it were me, I’d be MAD now.

Well said, imo. Another thing, none of us are immune to being a victim or having a relative or friend that’s a suspect. No one can predict the future. I know I would give my family/friends the benefit of doubt. I would need facts. I also would not wish to see an entire family brought down by the evil of an adult. Jmo

Oh, I’m sure he’s beyond mad, as is his family. IMO
It’s outrageous to be accused/slandered for no reason.

I can also use imagination to explain why Nichol did not post photos of herself with her kids.

She might feel uncomfortable about the public, including her clients, seeing her having three not too little kids at her age, and judge her about her relationships. And she's right, wasn't she?

But not worried about her auditioning for “America’s Got Talent”? Millions more people might have seen her, then.

He has tons of photos of London on his InstaGram. Name is “hec_bri”. She looks very happy in her photos. Maybe he wasn’t perfect with the child support $, but he was a proud dad.

She still posted pics of them online so that wasn’t the case.

All my single mom friends have tons of pictures with their girls and any time a bf acts up, they realize that if they take that kind of behavior then their daughter thinks that’s ok to be treated like that so they leave that relationship.

To me, a fiercely protective mom, as her friends say she is, is involved in her kids lives. Not tons of pics out with her friends and bf (don’t get me wrong some nights out away from children is definitely needed). And I’m more talking about the pics she is tagged in rather than the ones she posted because to me those are the ones that she didn’t untag herself for whatever reason and the ones that are being tagged now are how her friends remember her.

So if I can’t believe her friends saying she was this amazing mother putting her kids first then I can’t believe them when they she would NEVER do this.

Omg. Yes, he was a proud dad. Makes me sad.

Don't know. Do parents get in the spotlight at America's Got Talent? And the other siblings too?

While I believe it’s quite possible that Nichol murdered her kids and then committed suicide, this case differs from so many others because of the situation, argument with boyfriend who leaves then returns and reports them dead. It is also a statistical anomaly, which doesn’t rule out m/s but due diligence is imperative to verify that is actually what happened.

I was watching a true crime show (maybe forensic files) a while back and it was an assumed suicide by gun by a young black woman. The detective investigating said the entire reason he looked further into it was because it was so statistically unlikely for a woman to commit suicide by gun as well as being even further statiscally unlikely that a black female would commit suicide. Once he investigated he found evidence that ruled out suicide, it was ruled a homicide and her boyfriend was arrested. And there was something about pizza sauce.
You are right...though there are exceptions, statistics rarely lie (provided they’re subject to clean data collection). A little off topic, but You, ans probably many others
In this forum would enjoy the book Mindhunter by John Douglas, former FBI profiler. The guy really has an unbelievable knack for profiling, and talks a lot about these kinds of patterns. Tough, cringeworthy read at times but I couldn’t put it down!

A person doesn't assemble a team like this unless he's worried about being framed.

Or is very earnest in seeking to show things are not as they appear.

Or is guilty.
