GUILTY TX - Noted sniper Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield slain at Erath County gun range

Right or wrong, if any of the VA doctors wrote a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia at least once per the DSM criteria, I believe ERR may get an insanity plea. I really do feel he was schizo.

Oh, I'm not making any predictions on the outcome of the trial. Matter of fact, I'm very afraid that Routh might get away with his insanity plea & eventually get out of the mental hospital & be walking among us again. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to ever encounter him. I hope that if testimony about him enjoying killing small animals is allowed there might be a better chance of him being sentenced to LWOP. He sounds like a psychopath to me & there's no cure for that.

Was ERR expecting to be picked up by Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield that morning or just by Chris Kyle?

Hmm good question!

I know many people are able to overcome the obstacles and manage their mental health issues, but, I am a big believer that once you take the life of someone else, and shown the capability to go that far, I would never feel comfortable with anyone saying that person was rehabilitated. I'm not sure if this is the proper way to think about these things, but to me it's almost like a former drug/alcohol addict, who regardless of the amount of time spent sober could relapse with just one drink. His relapse into depression could spiral into other issues, or his lack of adherence to meds could put him back into a bad place, and since he has shown us his capacity for murder, I don't think him ever getting out of jail or a mental health facility is a risk that should be taken. MOO!

Testimony has been given that neither Kyle or Littlefield had any bullets missing from their guns. That suggests to me that they were doing their best to make Routh comfortable & unthreatened. You know the old saying, "No good deed goes unpunished".

Wrong state for insanity pal.

I will say he probably does have a fair chance at getting it. Im hoping not.

I am barely computer literate so I don't know how to do a lot of links. However if you go to http://www.nbcdfw.com you can follow twitter from there. Court just had a short recess because a juror was coughing & couldn't stop.

So the fact that he shot Chris in the back, can we discuss that one? I wonder what the order of shots was and if there is a way to determine it. IMO if he shot him from behind 1st, there was no reason to believe he felt that he was being threatened. IMO.

Did the state call his neighbor- Detective Chevara to testify? Tia

I don't have a link but I do believe I heard this morning on the radio that Chris nor Chad had fired any rounds...

Trial by tweet is really difficult lol

I believe earlier testimony either yesterday or the day before, stated that both Kyle & Littlefield had been shot in the back. You might check on prior posts here to read some of the testimony.

Not only that but the killer didn't have reason to have combat flashbacks that day correct? Don't believe he was ever in combat ... Im gonna read everything this weekend so I can understand fully the evidence.
