I am totally outraged that Routh received no government benefits before he murdered Chad & Chris, but since he killed them he has received around $30,000.00 government benefits which will continue until he is convicted. Does the US government now pay veterans for the cold blooded killing of innocent people? The saddest part is that this bit of information wasn't heard by the jury. If he is found not guilty by reason of insanity I assume he will continue to receive monthly benefits of $2,800.00 for life. How sick is that?????????????????? considering that he knew exactly what he was doing when he committed a double murder.

Supposedly, when Jodi (mom) was being questioned about the "benefits" he has been receiving since sitting in jail, there was a question about whether she (Jodi) knew some of that $$$ had, or was going to be, being spent on a house for his girlfriend...his mom, Jodi, refused to answer the question, just stared off and wouldn't answer.

Then, as she was about ready to get off the witness stand, the Judge spoke to Jodi, and basically sternly "suggested" to her that no one should touch or spend ANY of that money. Basically a warning.



P.S. TX Ranger Briley? Awww, I've known him since he was a DPS Highway Patrol Sgt. One of the most respectful and dedicated LE officers I've ever known. Glad to see he's now a TX Ranger.
