The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office says 12-year-old Octavia Watkins died Wednesday of blunt force trauma to the head. Crowley police tell the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that she was removed from life support.

The girl and three other children were wearing wet clothes from a day at a Crowley pool when they rode on the vehicle's trunk and hood June 17. The other children were treated for injuries and later released from a hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, 39-year-old Kisha Young, has been charged with drunken driving and other offenses.

The mother of a 12-year-old Crowley girl who died last month after falling off the trunk of a car during a swimming outing has been arrested, Crowley police said Monday night.

Yasmin Lewis, 38, faces a charge of reckless injury to a child causing seriously bodily injury in the death of her daughter, Octavia Watkins. Lewis was booked into the Crowley Jail and released on $15,000 bail, according to a news release
