Circumstances of Recovery: In December 1977 a subject found human bones outside a rest area in Odessa, Texas. The subject took the bones and brought them to California. On 3/31/1978 the subject's mother took the bones to the Whittier, CA Police Department and the bones were subsequently taken to the coroner's office.

Really wish there were more info on this, but I’m not sure there’s any to be had. This one may be a tough one.

That's LA County. If the remains remained there I would imagine they were cremated
