Texas Rangers investigating human remains found in vacant lot

Police found the human remains Saturday a little before 4:30 p.m. Neighbors told us a man was mowing the lawn when he ran over a human leg. Some said the shoe was still attached.

Neighbors said the home and field, located in the 2800 block of Graham Street, has been vacant for nearly two years.

Police said they had cadaver dogs out in the area earlier on Sunday for additional help.

They said they're unsure yet how the human bones got there or why. They first have to send the remains off to a medical examiner's office.
