Hmmm, the MySpace page for Patricia doesn't have any information or photos of Patricia Loya on there, I wonder why there appears to be zero information about Patricia online, she was only 15.

She is in NamUs and I think she is on Doe Network. I'll have to look when I get home. It always bothers me when there seems to be so little info out there about a person that is missing, especially when it's a child.

Wow! @Murkywaters Look at this. Patricia Loya - The Doe Network

She went missing in 1993 but wasn't reported missing until 2007. How does that happen with someone so young? How do they go so long being unaccounted for?

That's so sad. She was only 15, I guess in a lot of these cases family dynamics play a large role, sometimes cases are reported missing to LE but are purged and the family only realizes it once they call to check on the status of the investigation. Somebody however did report her missing, so someone does care.

Hopefully she was reported missing around the time that she was last seen (in 1993), and the case was purged and it was reopened/filed again when someone inquired about it in 2007. Maybe that was what happened and the way it was phrased on Doe Network was misleading.

That is good information to know about the purging of cases. It makes you wonder how many of these cold cases (especially decades-old cold cases) are purged or just somehow slip through the cracks (case files and/or evidence is lost, etc.).

Yes, someone definitely did care about Patricia because she was reported missing.

Where and by whom was Patricia last seen?

What did her family and LE think led to her disappearance? What did her family and LE do to search for her?
