The family of the woman who went missing from a southeast side H-E-B in 2010 hasn't given up hope. Now they're turning to AI to help generate new leads.

December will mark 14 years since Pauline Diaz disappeared, after driving away from a southeast side H-E-B parking lot where she worked.

Diaz's family has never give up hope of finding her, and now a new billboard in Floresville is helping keep that hope alive.

"It's a blessing that we got this, this location and this billboard for a year," said Paula Martinez, Pauline's daughter.

New billboard in Floresville raises hope in cold case of missing woman

Paula Diaz Martinez and her sister say the search for their missing mother, Pauline Diaz, has taken a tremendous emotional toll on them. It’s also taken a financial toll.

“You can say we’ve done out of our pockets about $200,000 since she’s gone missing from private investigators to events that we’ve conducted,” said Martinez.

“We’ve been praying for almost 14 years to get a billboard,” and this weekend those prayers were answered. Search and Support San Antonio and Season of Justice worked together to help the family have a billboard at no cost.

Pauline’s missing person billboard is on Highway 181 in Floresville; the family strategically chose it that way. “We said, you know what? We would like one in Floresville because her truck was found actually right here in this area,” she said. “I know the answers lie here. And we just hope that one day someone brave who has it in their heart to do the right thing.”

Pauline Cantu Diaz: San Antonio woman still missing after 14 years

Nearly 14 years have passed since Pauline Cantu Diaz was last seen in San Antonio. Missing in Texas reporter Angela Shen has the details.

She was last seen on Dec. 7, 2010, in the H-E-B parking lot on Goliad Road and Military Drive in San Antonio.

The next day, her truck was found on Hwy. 181 and FM 320 in Floresville near her estranged husband's home.

Her daughters say up until that day, he was constantly trying to get ahold of her.

The family of Pauline Diaz is still searching for her after 14 long years.

Diaz went missing after leaving work on Dec. 7, 2010. Diaz’s daughters, Juanita Diaz and Paula Martinez, have saved money to offer a $25,000 reward for tips leading to finding their mother.

“Me and my sister have worked very hard to keep her case open,” Juanita said.

“[The billboard] has brought a tip, and it has been forwarded to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office recently,” Paula said. “That was because they saw the billboard.”

Juanita and Paula have worked to place billboards with their mother’s picture and contact information for tips around San Antonio and Floresville.
