GUILTY TX - Penny, 37, Matthew, 13, & Tyler Caffey, 8, shot to death, 1 March 2008

I think they need to show Erin Caffey's mugshot even though she's a minor. This is so sick.

Agreed. shame the murderous 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

This whole case is absolutly disgusting, how in the world could this girl plan the murders of her family and then go have sex with her boyfriend afterward? That is just completely twisted. Those poor little boys must have been terrified :furious: .

She's a sociopath. she has no connection to human feelings.

Even if the girls didn't take part in the murders they are as guilty as the boys. They all planned the murders and that makes all of them guilty. It sounds like little Erin had everyone fooled. She didn't turn out to be the nice, sweet, fun, girl that everyone thought she was. Inside was this little witch who decided to murder her whole family for the sake of one worthless guy.

I hope the dad hangs on tight to his faith because that is all that will get him through this nightmare. Can you imagine losing your wife and 2 boys all because you said "no" to your daughter? There are just to many teens that don't like that word and go to extremes when they hear it. Your child doesn't have to be into drugs or alcohol to murder you. In this day and age all you have to do is deny kids something that they want and it is goodbye mom and dad. Now Erin doesn't remember anything except the fire! Ya, I'll bet she can't remember. Does she remember plotting the murders for a month and then holding the dog back so the guys could get into the house!!! She's lucky that she has a gramma there with her when she talks to LE. If she was my granddaughter I don't think I could be so kind. I don't think that I would want to see her at all. Either my daughter is dead or my son is fighting for his life. I think I would leave Erin to deal with what she did on her own. Maybe LE asked a family member to be there when she was read the charges because she is underage. Someone else would have had to go....not me.

I feel so sorry for the dog too. Dogs are so faithful. He is waiting for his family to come home. Now when the dad leaves the hospital he will have only the dog to come home to. No family and no home. Breaks my heart.

What you said. all of it, however i've bolded the part which bothers me most.

parents not safe from their own children in this day and age. :(

Anyone else see this link
http://www.thedailybs.com/killers.htm
Says Bobbi allegedly held one of the boys down when they were getting stabbed. I had not read that. I read she was in the car with Erin.

I had not seen this memorial page. Thanks for posting it. Erin was such a pretty girl and friends say she was popular and bubbly. I guess you can't tell from the outside what is on the inside of a person.

I haven't yet managed to spot a pic of the daughter.

i refuse to call her by name as one of my dear cousins has that name and i won't sully it. :(

I'm assuming Erin's myspace was well disguised because it sounds like at least her dad was on top of things like that. (supposedly "hacking" into Wilkerson's myspace)

Thanks for the info, SuziQ.

Cali, I wonder if the parents knew how P.O.'d their own daughter and this jerk were at them. I guess most of us would like to think that our kids wouldn't kill us. I just wonder how heated it would get....and if the thought crossed their mind they might be in danger. :(

I know TM I have been wondering ther same thing about what the parents knew. They must have known that the boyfriend was bad news if they forbade her to see him. I think you are right that most of us would never think our child would kill the entire family:mad: . I fell so badly for the dad who not only lost his wife and sons but has to live with the fact that his daughter did it, what a betrale.

This is from the Memorial Page that Grace60 posted. Her picture is on here with her boyfriend. Also on the home page there is a picture of her.

Gosh, the "killers" pages says Charlie just met Erin in January. And, this is supposed to be true love? Well, they'll have lots of time to think about the meaning of love.

Just wanted to check with you guys about this.In one of the articles linked here it said that the daughter was home schooled until Jan.when she then went to public school.

*trying to read through again to find the article...having no luck  *

Yes, this article states that they were homeschooled until this semester. That means that she had only been in public school for, at the most, two months...yet they had been planning the murder for a month  .

Here's the quote from the Tyler paper: "Wilkinson, Johnson and the 16-year-old Caffey daughter were Rains High School students. Classmates said Wilkinson and the 16-year-old were infatuated with each other, and had been dating since the 16-year-old enrolled in Rains High School in January, where before she was home schooled with her brothers."

I would assume she started at semester break, which would be in the middle of January. So that's less than 2 months. Sick and sad.

I found this interesting...from the link referenced above...

Not sure of the accuracy..after all it is in the "speak out" section...

http://caffeymemorial.123guestbook.com/

The original plan, from what I was told was that the boys were not a part of the murder plan, that they simply wanted to kill the parents. A source told me the kids were killed because they were screaming and didn't go upstairs when they were told by Wilkinson. When they finally did go to their rooms, they were killed because they could identify them.

What they did is horrendous enough..BUT this makes it even more horrific IMO. They basically knew something was amiss, and to know that it's someone you know.. (i'm assuming since the parents were forbidding the daughter to date him, that he had been to the home on at least one occasion etc)

Does this also mean that before they (the sons) were killed that they possibly witnessed their parent's death and attempted death?

Sick 🤬🤬🤬🤬's. As someone else mentioned, why not just "run away" together? If they had the cash (which is doubtful but work w/ me here) to offer up to gain help in this tragedy, they had enough to lay low for awhile and to "work" on mom and dad letting her see him. (Not saying it would be right for her to date him, for whatever reason, they didn't feel it was appropriate and that's their right as parents BUT she could have used it as as an attempt to negotiate her right to talk to him etc "I'll come home when you allow me to date/see him etc is where I'm going with it)

how does one even begin to move on from a situation such as this? It's one thing when it's a random crime, but how do you look at the person that you helped to create, and bring into this world, nurture and love, and know that they are just pure evil...that, that same person not only took away your spouse, attempted to take your life but also wiped out your other children's lives as well as your home. I cannot fathom what this poor man must be going through.....

When you think things couldn't get any worse for the father....He thought his daughter was a vic, only to learn she was behind this. The below posts are by a supposed family member on Bobbi's Myspace blog.

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=92516811&blogid=314792998&page=6

Terry thought his daughter was dead till yeaterday just to find out she is being charged. so think about him when he gets out, what does he have??? nothing no wife no kids no home come on ppl . he's the one that needs support not the murders and yes they are called murders here in texas

I wondered if the Caffey boys were part of the plan or not only because one article said that one of the CW's told them to go back to their rooms (something like that). Just that little statement made me wonder if they would still be alive if they hadn't heard or seen anything. :( Thanks for that info, JinxieJada.

It gives me a little pleasure hearing Erin cried when she wasn't allowed to leave juvie. And she thought her parents were mean?

They wouln't have had the cash and once they had run away they would have murdered strangers to get it.

Thank you for responding and showing me the link again ljwf22 & SLP :blowkiss: !

Wow girl moved quick, less than 2 months  I think that shows how cold blooded the daughter actually is.The saying birds of a feather flock together rings true here.

My heart just aches for those little boys, mom and dad :(

My prayers are with Dad.He is going to have a long tough road ahead of him.I hope his faith helps keep him strong.

The latest this morning which I misread and am editing my comments. I apologize to Dianne Waid for what I posted earlier.
http://www.kltv.com/global/story.asp?s=7960115

Saturday afternoon, the day of the killings, Waid's wife says she got a phone call from her husband, one she will never forget.
"He told me that he had to tell me something before anybody else, and that Charlie had went on a killing rampage and killed his girlfriend's mother and brothers and the father lived, and he burned the house down," said Waid's wife. "Later on that night, I sent him (Waid) a text message, and he never responded, and the next day I saw his mug picture." She says Waid and Wilkinson have been friends for years. She said they both often drank, but she never saw her husband get violent.

ETA: Now I'm getting Charles and Charlie mixed up. Charles said Charlie did it. My mistake and I edited the above. This case has gotten to me and I need to chill.

She appears to me to be somewhat of a spoiled brat. Her parents forbade her to see her boyfriend of less than 2 months and took away her cell phone. For this she plots to murder them?

Teens, unlike most adults, rarely think beyond the moment. She (and the others) apparently never thought about escaping or getting caught. Just going to sleep after commiting this horrible shows how callous these killers were. I hope she's tried as an adult and rots away her life in prison.
