Bryan police are asking for the public's help locating a missing woman with autism.

Police said they are looking for 21-year-old Peyton McVay. She was last seen in her home in the 600 block of Esther Blvd. around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The family looked for McVay for about an hour prior to calling for police assistance because she has been known to hide. Police are currently searching the area and checking local businesses.

McVay is 21 years old, but functions as a 12-13 year old.

She is described as 5'4 and weighing about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and tie-dye shorts.

If anyone has any information on McVay's whereabouts, you are asked to contact Bryan police.

Really hoping they find her. It's scary when it's someone who needs assistance. Thankfully it hasn't been too long, so hopefully she hasn't gone far.
