I'm not sure if they were all her superiors, but they indicated that the same man who shot himself, Aaron Robinson, is the one who walked in on her while she was in the shower. She was afraid to report the sexual harassment because he was her superior.

This is...too much. Why are there multiple people involved?? Is their loyalty to a sexual predator really that strong? What is THEIR motive? Are they all complicit in sexual harassment of other people? Did they get in too deep to get out and find themselves being forced to help cover up because of blackmail?

I highly doubt it was only him. I feel like they would’ve thrown him under the bus a long time ago. I believe part of the reason it may have taken awhile for them to contact family was not CID, but these other superiors or soldiers in her shop that worked in unison to cover themselves.

For what it's worth, I found Dixie's post cringeworthy and condescending as heck. I promise, not all of us "lay folks" on WS are like that. I understand that TM seems to have hero status on here, but that should not mean he is above reproach. All the family wanted was to wait for an official confirmation. I don't understand why TM could not have respected their wishes and held off speaking to the media. JMO

It should have been investigators who notified the family about finding Vanessa's body. Instead they found out from the media and apparently TM was the one who gave them the details.

I agree that it should be the officials providing information surrounding the circumstances of their daughter's death and burial. In most cases, LE normally hold off giving the media any information until they have spoken with the family.

It is heartbreaking. However, respectfully, I don't understand the talk of "shutting down" the base. It is like a small city, with a population of 23,000 people, including over 6,000 homes. IMO

The sister saying their mother is in bed with pills got me...trying to comprehend the evil involved in making this woman disappear is too difficult. Now that it’s known there are multiple people involved I have to wonder if VG was being taught a “lesson” by her superior and peers, or If these people were dumb enough to assist in disposing of her because they cared more about the aesthetics of how it reflected on this jerk and the military.

who cared so little about the consequences at the VERY least, enough to say “covering this up is better than having to get help or tell the authorities”?? Who looked at this woman’s body and said “sure buddy I’ll help you out and get rid of her” what???
