Mesquite police are asking for the public's help finding a woman who was reported missing Wednesday night after she did not pick her child up after work.

Prisma Denisse Peralta Reyes, 26, was reported missing about 9:30 p.m., two hours after the usual time she would pick up her child from the baby sitter, police said. Relatives have been caring for her child.

Reyes has not responded to repeated calls from family, friends and police, and her 2017 Jeep Wrangler was found about 7:45 a.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of Roseland Avenue, near North Hall Street, in Old East Dallas, police said.

Reyes is 5-foot-2 and weighs about 135 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red polo shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Reyes' whereabouts may call Mesquite police at 972-285-6336.

According to Reyes' stepfather, Dan Fuchs, she is currently working as a paralegal and was a member of the National Guard.

He also said that Reyes recently became a U.S. Citizen and is originally from Veracruz, Mexico.

Fuchs, who was working out of state, said that family members informed him of Reyes' disappearance this morning.

He said it's incredibly unlike Reyes to disappear. He said that her son is her world and that she loved her Jeep, adding that she would never abandon it like that.

While nothing seemed out of the ordinary about the surveillance footage, the worried stepfather analyzed every movement.

"The way she was floundering her arm, her lanyard, her keys. It's just a trait that she has," Fuchs said. He said he thinks she was upset or in distress.

Fuchs said Reyes would never leave her son without a mother. He also said she loved her Jeep and wouldn't abandon it.

“Reyes’ mother told CBS 11 News that her daughter has never abandoned her family and never would. The last time she spoke to her daughter was at noon on Wednesday, warning her about the weather, she told CBS 11 News. However, when she called her daughter’s manager later, the manager told her Reyes never returned to work after lunch.”

A Texas Mom Who 'Loves Her Baby' Failed to Pick Up Her Son, and Now She's Considered Missing

---
Mesquite police detectives went door-to-door in the area where Reyes was last seen and asked to check security cameras in hopes of finding additional footage of her the day she went missing.

Investigators have not said why they believe she may have been there, but Reyes' sister revealed a possible link.

We do know that an ex-boyfriend lives there and her car was parked a block away from there,” Peralta said.

Peralta says the relationship ended badly and she reported that information to police.

Family, police continue search for missing Mesquite mother Prisma Reyes

A Week Later, Still No Leads In Case Of Missing Mesquite Mother | Dallas Informer

"Nearly a week has passed since a North Texas mother was reported missing. And Mesquite police say they are no closer to finding her.

The last sign of Prisma Reyes, 26, is surveillance video outside a Dallas apartment complex Wednesday. Her Jeep Wrangler was found abandoned there. And she never showed to pick up her 6-year-old son.

Mesquite police say they have no new leads and no suspects. In other words, they are no closer to finding Reyes than they were last Wednesday, when she was seen on security video at a Dallas apartment complex."

NG asked David Mack (Syndicated Radio Host) what LE has been doing and he replied, "LE has gone door to door, canvassing the entire apartment complex that is attached to the parking garage where we saw her on the video at 5:50 in the evening. They canvassed the neighborhood, they have talked to everybody, every family member, co-worker, past co-workers. They have talked to everybody, it is an exhaustive search. They have knocked on every door."

NG: "You said Everything has been done. I assume they searched bodies of water, if there is one nearby. They brought in tracker dogs, cadaver dogs, scent dogs, shoulder to shoulder search. Have they done drone and air search as well Dave Mack?"

Dave M: "What we have been told by the police, thus far, is that they have done an extensive search around that apartment complex of that 3500 block of Roseland Avenue, which is where her vehicle was found, which they refer to as abandoned, and where that video was taken of the CC camera that we saw. They have gone to every apartment building, every apartment they have knocked on doors. They have gone to the other buildings, along that same block knocking on doors to talk to anybody that has any information about the evening Prisma was last seen. They have asked talked and asked everyone to check security cameras in hopes of finding more footage of her."

They have a bad feeling about Prisma being at the ex boyfriend's apartment complex and knowing their relationship ended badly.
