A local professor is facing charges after allegedly telling his boss there will be blood if he did not receive tenure.

Interesting, I would think any University Professor would know not to say something like this no matter what he meant, it's coercive and intimidating. If he deserved tenure and didn't get it, then he could probably make his case against the University. I have to wonder in this case though how productive he was.

Just adding that I think Universities are very on guard about any possible threats due to past murders over disputes. I remember this one:
